Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

If the film has issues (far more than just the story) why can't it be on par with those movies I listed? Because you found it more entertaining shouldn't excuse the story, editing, plot holes etc...

This movie probably has more problems than Catwoman if we actually broke it down. I liked WillShot and Harley at times but can you really say Captain Boomerang, Croc, Rick Flagg, Katana, Joker, Slipknot, and Enchantress were good characters? They barely had anything to do and weren't fleshed out whatsoever, some of them had zero back stories and no reason to be on the team at all. Not sure about the well acted part either but that's really subjective, I can see it delivering more of a good time if you overlook all of its problems but MOS is really a masterpiece compared to this in almost every way :lol

It's weird how you are so confounded by the idea of people preferring an entertaining movie to one that is technically proficient. But it does explain a lot. :lol

I have to watch Catwoman again, I remember it being like one big joke, but I don't know if it was a mess.

everyone expects to see an "ultimate cut" I don't think we will. Maybe deleted scenes. I'd like to see "The Joker Cut".

I'll be happy to see whatever deleted scenes they include but I think we may yet get an extended cut because it was a really good marketing tool with BvS.

Hopefully, it would be a good thing for fan service, well for most people. :lol

I like the film for what it is but yeah, this movie fails on every level.

They even messed up the team on a mission movie formula which is so simple.

1. You introduce the characters and their skills

2. The characters don't like each other but must learn how to work together

3. There's a very specific mission they have to go on and each character has something specific to contribute to that mission

4. If the characters can't do that...the mission fails

5. Eventually things go wrong and the team has to step up and work together.

Why did Boomerang returned to the team for no reason after he walked away in the previous scene? :lol I get why Willshot joins Flagg, but Boomerang quits as soon as Flagg gave him the choice...and a minute later he was back for no reason. :gah:

That's what I'm saying, really after entering this thread I thank the heavens we have critics. WB shouldn't get away with releasing something like this. I love a ton of bad movies but people here are trying to lie and say this is a good movie, that's kind of insulting :lol

1. They did, for the first act of the movie. You sure you weren't drunk? :lol

2. They don't, Flag and DS loathe each other the entire movie. Most of the team don't get a long until they decide to try and group up to take out Flag.

3. Again, you sure you weren't hittn the mimosa's? Their mission was to escort the "one person you can't live without" in the end it turned to stopping Enchantress.

4. They did do that, both of them.

5. They did this too. You black out before the bar scene? :lol

Damn, I don't think it's possible for a movie to be as bad as Catwoman.

I think the majority of people here acknowledge the flaws. Some try to make sense of them...which is always hilarious, but I think most people, and I include myself, just enjoys the pretty colors and character dynamic.
