A movie should stand on its own. I don't see why everyone in the world should read every comic before having an opinion on a movie.

you don't have to, he's asking to stop acting like you do. "the joker wouldn't do this blah blah blah, Harley Quinn would blah blah blah."

any statement like that regarding the the movie or character, coming from someone who has no knowledge or experience with theses characters, and only incarnation they've experienced is a single movie, with 25 minutes of screen time regarding said character, is hard to take as any sort of criticism.

it's like going into a car dealership with no knowledge of automobiles and acting like you know everything about cars.

When have I said the Joker shouldn't do something? I don't like this interpretation of Joker, and I think Leto is doing a horrible job. I even said of modern Joker is like the comics strips you showed then that's lame.

I've seen all live action and animation Joker, played a bunch of games and read only the popular stories that's enough for me to have some understanding of the character and the one we got in SS is lame.

Except most people here have knowledge of the character that goes beyond a single film.

What's funny is most people who know me here know I prefer these movies stray from the comics and the director give us their interpretation, this version just happened to be lame, accurate to the source material or not.

I understand that, but I'm saying if you went into a clothing store and the owner told you he wouldn't recommend you buy a specific shirt because it's actually made of poor quality you would be upset and want him to never work again?

Ayer is doing what's best for a terrible movie, the studio that ruined that movie, and his own career, not what's best for pturtle, and I only care about pturtle

I'm guessing if you and Jye go out to eat and get food poisoning due to a waitresses' recommendation of a certain dish you'll just go straight on Yelp and give that waitress a shoutout and that restaurant 5 stars

I would compare to a chef making a strawberry cake and saying it is the most delicious cake and then you taste the cake and it tastes like onion and garlic

Sure the chef lied but.... would you sue? Leave a 1 star review on yelp?

What happens when other people are saying the cake is delicious?

A yelp review of an onion cake is the same as the RT reviews this got

A guy is going to sue WB because of this movie.


But would the chef attack his own boss and his own restaurant?
That would be dumb. The chef attacking his restaurant would just make him look bad.

Ayer's career is not ruined. Hell bounce back.
Hell get another chance.
Imagine if EVERY single time a movie flopped the director went to crap on the bosses...
