Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

There's a video of him criticizing Christian Bale's Batman voice and blaming Nolan for it. That was a bit much coming from an actor who isn't that good outside of doing voices.

I'm really starting to dislike him now..what an egomaniac

Going to second viewing this weekend- need to help up those box office numbers:lol

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

pturtle,

I changed my mind, SS does have better action than X2.

Whew, I feel better now.

When I think of XM movies I think of wheelchairs and naps.

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

OMG someone criticised Bale's bat voice?

Stop the presses.

Not just anyone, a fellow "thespian." Keaton had nothing but good things to say about Bale...even though he didn't see the films :lol Still, Keaton is classy and he's a much bigger man than Conroy will ever be...not literally

But Conroy looks like a smug insecure voice actor.

I think the X Men films have not aged well- not because of environment but methods of filmmaking and effects....Yeah X2 was gold back in the day but now...flat?

I'm not going to argue about it. I think you're woefully ignorant about what it means to be a voiceover actor and the fact that you're criticising their fans and then going on to talk **** tells me all I need to know. :cheers

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

Awful scene.

DiFabio out of curiosity what was the last genre film you saw that you not only enjoyed from beginning to end in the theater but also didn't disparage after the fact upon reflection. I'm thinking *maybe* TWS or TDK but even with those two I'm honestly not sure.

Calm down there fella.

Good call. :lol The Nightcrawler attack was kind of a neat Matrix-y gimmick at the time and it was fun seeing Hugh Jackman roaring and bloodlessly stabbing a bunch of guys (say it with me Hillary fans: *at the time*) but now those moments just aren't impressive at all. Blade action and even Thomas Jane Punisher action has held up much better over the years.

Winter Soldier, Guardians of the Galaxy, Days of Future Past (though I might have said some **** against Mystique).

No way! I seem to recall you totally ripping on that one (in amusing fashion no less.) :lol

Man, it's been a dark time for you since 2014 huh? ;) But thanks for answering, I wouldn't have pegged you as a GOTG guy, that's for sure.

Did I? I remember bitching about the continuity and Mystique, can't remember much else. I know I loved the time in the bottle scene and a lot of the action sequences.

But yeah, I was glowing in 2014 with Winter Soldier and Guardians of the Galaxy. That was a good year. I think before that it was Dredd 3D for me.

:lol :lol

Ok fine, I was just messing with you.

Yes, Nightcrawler scene is better than anything in Antman.

But that scene can only take you so far pturtle, it has got nothing on TWS/CW.

Now back to your original question, does SS have better action than X2.

Just action?

Maybe not. But SS is still a more solid movie with more heart.

Yeah seriously, these cats here want Kim Kardashian for Pepper Potts. :lol

Alright you're trolling :lol

Awful scene. Got Catwoman vibes from it with the soundtrack, lighting, bad cinematography, the slow mo CGI fall and that ****ing dialogue. Sounds like something Halle Berry and Sharon Stone would say to each other.

This feels like one of those comic book movies that came out in the early 2000s. Not your Raimi Spider-Mans, Batman Begins, Hellboy, or Singer X-Men, I'm talking your Catwoman's, Daredevils and Electras. That goofy dark and gritty vibe. Hell, with it's soundtrack it would fit right in.

It really is, I'm really confused how many people consider this a good movie, not a guilty pleasure but a good movie :lol

Insane! Nightcrawler scene, Mansion scene, and Magneto Breakout are better than anything in Suicide Squad.

I think the X Men films have not aged well- not because of environment but methods of filmmaking and effects....Yeah X2 was gold back in the day but now...flat?

In what way? There really wasn't much CGI used in the action scenes, and the acting is still head and shoulders better than every MCU film and most DC films. Watch Apocalypse and watch X2, Apocalypse actually looks like the older film :lol

Smelly man-child confirmed :lol
