Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

I generally have my priorities paid for and well planned. I try not to be excessive. I don't really socialize as most people I know either moved or aren't into the same **** as me. I normally kick it with watching a movie after classes. I also have a side job I work, which I dedicate to movies. My job is what I use to pay for necessities.

That said, I had a buddy's mom who I became great friends with. She was always talking about traveling and going to the big spots in Europe. I graduated and I hadn't spoken to my buddy. He told me a month before graduation that she was in the hospital cause she didn't feel too hot. Well, that month and a half passed by and I found out that she passed the week of graduation. She hardly ever spent money to treat herself or her family because she wanted to save to take everyone for the whole summer. She stressed herself a lot on trying to save and take care of them. I don't know, after that, why not enjoy the things when you can.

My missus isn't too hot for movies, but I don't really care, she'd rather I'm doing that then her thinking I'm cheating. I gave her my old theatre reward card to see my ticket stubs, and now she just quizzes me for giggles. :lol

Just saying, **** it; have some fun. Also I'm cheap, my bar has a 15 bucks cover charge and that's about 4 viewings right there lol.

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

Nobody should feel guilty for going to see a movie they like, even if someone else may deem it as excessive. Do what you do. I mean, we're on a site where more than half the user base, myself included, blows thousands of dollars on dollies and plastic toys. If you want to talk about excessive frivolousness in a hobby, that's it right there (and even then they'll tell you "well, atleast it isn't drugs or drinking!").

On the other hand, we shouldn't try to guilt trip other members for their posts either. Rushmore shouldn't feel bad or guilty for the post he made. This "I saw it 20 times!" mentality is kinda nuts. There are somethings I'd keep to myself. :lol

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

My post probably didn't need the boyfriend/girlfriend comment, no matter how excessive I feel seeing a movie this many times is. but I won't revise my comment, I'll own it.

I'm probably just jealous cause I don't have the time to do things I like, like some of you younger people. ;)

It's funny, I post on this site, but I've probably only bought 1 HT and 1 SS figure in the last three years.

Really sorry to hear about your boyfriend's illness Jess. I hope to God it's treatable and one that he can pull through. I'm sure your support is a huge help for him right now.

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

I like this movie as much or more after a second viewing. So entertaining from beginning to end. I liked that Enchantress appeared as Deadshot's daughter to stop him from shooting her heart and she even made almost the exact same plea that prevented him from shooting Batman but this time he wasn't having it.

Also thought it was cool that Diablo melted an opening through Incubus' chest cavity so the charge could blow up his heart.

SS has great replay value. It gets better each time you watch it. Not many movies have that.
