Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

I did that for BvS and for Spectre, the limited cards. I use to work for a theatre and the manager let's me go in, when he's manager on duty. But I do go most of the time to an AMC next to me, for 5.49. Plus with the rewards I get from em, I pretty much catch 3 movies for free within 2 months. Another theatre I go also has tickets for 8 bucks, but they do student discounts and so I get to go in for 4 bucks. I pretty much mix and match depending if I have errands near any of them. :lol

Ah, nice! All in all, not a bad deal, then. Some of the guys I've talked to that live in the city say movie tickets can be anywhere from $15-20 a pop, so, I wasn't sure if Chicago was like that or not.

14€ for 3D on weekends. 13€ for 3D on week days. 2D is 11-13€ depending on the day.

I pay 15$ matinees for our rip off "BIG D" (I know can you believe that's actually what the named it? :lol ) theater, about an 8th of the size of a rip-off imax. the only other theater close to me is an hour away so the Jack they **** out of their prices.

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

My Cinemark has one of those XD theaters, and I think it's like $13.50 for a ticket. We used to do that for the big summer tent poles, but then the Regal in my area got nice, automated recliners, and I figured I'd rather pay for comfort than a somewhat larger screen. I still haven't seen SS in 3D, though I doubt it would've made much of a difference. It wound up being, I think $10.50 on opening night for 2D. Matinees are still $5.50, though, surprisingly. I'd have thought, for sure, they'd raise their prices after the renovations, but, thankfully, that wasn't the case.

The bottom line is this, you are ****ed if you live in NY or LA, that simple. :lol

I often hate living in the Midwest, so far away from civilization, as I view it.:lol Gotta say, though, I'll miss the cheap ticket prices if I ever bite the bullet and move.:lol

or in a town with a population under 15,000 like mua. :lol

the seats are comfy, and the sound is awesome. I really like the big D. even if it's a little expensive.

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

I rarely go to Regal, but they are pretty good. I think it's 11 bucks for showing night, and 5.66 matinee from then on.

Not too shabby. The nearest AMC to where I am is in Columbus, about an hour away, which, coincidentally, is also the nearest IMAX, so, I'm just grateful that we're still seeing improvements being made here.:lol

My taxes are $18,000 a year and I live in what is considered to have the absolute cheapest taxes in the area, they're right because next town over taxes are 100k a year. :lol

So yeah, Imax movies are $21.50. :lol

Oh Oh SS Joker fans:

Jared Leto feels as though he was "tricked" into taking on the role of Joker in Warner Bros.' new comic book film, according to a recent report.

The actor, who's also the lead singer of Thirty Seconds to Mars, shared a few thoughts on his role during a Q&A session at Camp Mars—an event Leto posted about on both Instagram and Twitter. According to a summary provided by a Leto fansite on Tumblr (via Batman-News), Leto is said to have felt "sort of tricked into being a part of something that had been pitched to him very differently."

According to the report, Leto said he thought it would be a more artistic production and was "overwhelmed by all the hate regarding the look and choices." He also said he hasn't yet seen the film after being disappointed to hear what did and didn't make it into the theatrical cut.

Leto also confirmed that his contract for Suicide Squad prohibited him from doing various dangerous activities that he enjoys, like rock climbing. In response to this stipulation by Warner Bros., Leto said "f—k 'em."

Suicide Squad opened earlier this month to negative critical reception. While the theatrical release doesn't feature very much of Leto as the green-haired villain, the actor said he shot enough Joker material for a whole movie.
