Oh well, extended bluray will have him killed with the helicopter crash and Harley will be broken out of jail by Deadshot's daughter after learning how to shoot from her dad. :lol

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

I did that for BvS and for Spectre, the limited cards. I use to work for a theatre and the manager let's me go in, when he's manager on duty. But I do go most of the time to an AMC next to me, for 5.49. Plus with the rewards I get from em, I pretty much catch 3 movies for free within 2 months. Another theatre I go also has tickets for 8 bucks, but they do student discounts and so I get to go in for 4 bucks. I pretty much mix and match depending if I have errands near any of them. :lol

I'm in Chicago too, how are you getting into an AMC theater for 5.49? I'm paying about 9-11 per ticket at Classic Cinemas and/or AMC.

OPINION: WHY THE DCEU IS IN REAL TROUBLE

One movie can't save the DC Extended Universe anymore.

BY TERRI SCHWARTZ

First it was Suicide Squad. Now it's Wonder Woman. Fans keep looking to the next film on the DC Extended Universe release schedule to be the project that will mark the shift toward the DC movies they want to see, but a sad truth is emerging: one great film and multiple weak ones does not a great franchise make. No single superhero film is going to be able to swoop in at the last minute and save the day for this franchise. There need to be multiple great films to really mark a change for the series.

That's not to say the tides can't turn for the DCEU; Warner Bros. already changed things behind-the-scenes in the hopes of creating films that are more in line with what consumers want to see. But it's not going to just be Wonder Woman, or just be Justice League, or just be The Flash. At this point, one critically acclaimed project that exceeds fan expectations will be the exception, not the rule for the DCEU.

The entire Warner Bros. DC film series is built upon 2013's Man of Steel, which not only offered a new, darker depiction of Superman but also planted the seeds for a larger DC film universe. Following its release, Warners announced an ambitious 10-film lineup through 2020 (now 11 films, including the standalone Batman project.)

While there was a mixed response to Man of Steel, in retrospect it's become the best-reviewed film of the DCEU. After Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice opened to divisive reviews back in March, "at least we have Suicide Squad" became the rallying cry around support for the DCEU. That proved to be all for naught: August's release of Suicide Squad saw the film reviewed even worse than its predecessor.

Wonder Woman is coming off an incredible San Diego Comic-Con trailer, and again the rallying cry of "at least we have Wonder Woman" emerged. How could a trailer that gets things so right end up representing a flawed movie... right?

It's hard to ignore the nagging suspicion that yes, maybe we're all shaping up for another big disaster, and some people are looking for any sign of it. Director Patty Jenkins' raves about Suicide Squad on Twitter caused some concern, especially when she denied it was corporate synergy causing her to speak out in support of the movie. An open letter from an alleged former Warner Bros. employee calling it a "mess" didn't help, though the value of that letter is questionable at best. But the fact Jenkins again had to go on Twitter and deny her movie is a mess shows that the faith is fading in this franchise; as she notes, only time will prove whether Wonder Woman is the first DCEU movie to exceed -- or even meet -- expectations.

Even if Wonder Woman does end up being the great movie we all want it to be -- and I hope, I hope, it is -- it's not going to be enough to change the tides moving against the DCEU. The more sub-par films Warner Bros. puts out, the harder it's going to be to win back critics, but more importantly, the harder it's going to be to win back consumers.

Both BvS and Suicide Squad had pretty drastic second weekend drop-offs in ticket sales, and that's bad news for a studio spending a lot of money on this film series. Neither look poised to cross the coveted $1 billion mark worldwide.

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

Hollywood only has itself to blame for creating an environment where movies that don't break 1 billion are now considered failures.

For every 1 Jurassic World there will be 100 ASM2 and SS.

Before Leto cries about being "tricked" he needs to play this clip by Peter Serafinowicz, the actor who voiced Darth Maul. This is the funniest interview I've heard ANYONE involved with the prequels give:

:lol

"People in the audience were looking at each other with question marks floating above their heads." :lol

And to think TPM ended up being the best one. Man :lol

So true, yikes.

So about that golden Joker underwear that will be in the R cut. :lol

Seriously, who wasn't in shock during their first viewing. :lol

The duel at the end being interrupted by annoying kid in space and annoying droid battle, my head hung low.

Jared Leto. an actor who's been behind the camera for around 50 days in total, isn'it going to just "give up" a franchise role like The Joker. :lol

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

Since some have drawn comparisons between this movie and GOTG, i was looking at BOMojo and I have a feeling that even though this movie is currently out-pacing GOTG, it will fall short of Guardians total box office take.

GOTG had legs, but SS is falling off fast percentage wise. I think SS will pull in low $700's.

Now before people chime in with "I don't care" or "box office is meaningless" your right, at least partly, it's just something I take an interest in, probably cause I used to play HSX a lot.

jared leto reportedly feels he was 'tricked' into suicide squad

Suicide Squad star Jared Leto feels as though he was "tricked" into taking on the role of Joker in Warner Bros.' new comic book film, according to a recent report.

The actor, who's also the lead singer of Thirty Seconds to Mars, shared a few thoughts on his role during a Q&A session at Camp Mars—an event Leto posted about on both Instagram and Twitter. According to a summary provided by a Leto fansite on Tumblr (via Batman-News), Leto is said to have felt "sort of tricked into being a part of something that had been pitched to him very differently."

According to the report, Leto said he thought it would be a more artistic production and was "overwhelmed by all the hate regarding the look and choices." He also said he hasn't yet seen the film after being disappointed to hear what did and didn't make it into the theatrical cut.

Leto also confirmed that his contract for Suicide Squad prohibited him from doing various dangerous activities that he enjoys, like rock climbing. In response to this stipulation by Warner Bros., Leto said "f 'em."

Suicide Squad opened earlier this month to negative critical reception. While the theatrical release doesn't feature very much of Leto as the green-haired villain, the actor said he shot enough Joker material for a whole movie.
