Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

kinda reminds me of the whole Orlando Bloom thing where his contract said no extreme sports/activities for LOTR. mother ****er went base jumping his first day in New Zealand. :lol

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

Since some have drawn comparisons between this movie and GOTG, i was looking at BOMojo and I have a feeling that even though this movie is currently out-pacing GOTG, it will fall short of Guardians total box office take.

GOTG had legs, but SS is falling off fast percentage wise. I think SS will pull in low $700's.

Now before people chime in with "I don't care" or "box office is meaningless" your right, at least partly, it's just something I take an interest in, probably cause I used to play HSX a lot.

I do think it will fall short of GOTG's final tally. It is funny though that the $700+ million earnings of TWS and GOTG in 2014 are considered embarrassing disasters now.

In this movies case, I don't think it's embarrassing at all, I think it has performed well. Not a gigantic hit, but a very respectable hit, when considering its budget. BVS by comparison really could have made more, alot more, it's got the comic book worlds two biggest stars, and had it been more appealing to the masses, it could have nearly doubled it's box office gross.

Consider also that GOTG's characters were below the radar as far as the general public is concerned. If the sequel is as good as the original, it will make much more at the box office.

jared leto reportedly feels he was 'tricked' into suicide squad

Suicide Squad star Jared Leto feels as though he was "tricked" into taking on the role of Joker in Warner Bros.' new comic book film, according to a recent report.

The actor, who's also the lead singer of Thirty Seconds to Mars, shared a few thoughts on his role during a Q&A session at Camp Mars—an event Leto posted about on both Instagram and Twitter. According to a summary provided by a Leto fansite on Tumblr (via Batman-News), Leto is said to have felt "sort of tricked into being a part of something that had been pitched to him very differently."

According to the report, Leto said he thought it would be a more artistic production and was "overwhelmed by all the hate regarding the look and choices." He also said he hasn't yet seen the film after being disappointed to hear what did and didn't make it into the theatrical cut.

Leto also confirmed that his contract for Suicide Squad prohibited him from doing various dangerous activities that he enjoys, like rock climbing. In response to this stipulation by Warner Bros., Leto said "f 'em."

Suicide Squad opened earlier this month to negative critical reception. While the theatrical release doesn't feature very much of Leto as the green-haired villain, the actor said he shot enough Joker material for a whole movie.

To be fair, the whole style and feel to the DC universe has changed.

Instead of the dark DC cinematic style WB tried to go for, they are now most likely to follow Marvel with adding more humor to their DC films.

There for would have they picked Snyder as a director?

Would they have catsted these actors they have already for the DC cinematic universe with more humor?

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

you know, i was one of the ones begging for a directors cut but after seeing the movie i have to say i really dont care.
in fact the less joker the better. i did not miss any of the scenes and more joker would have ruined the movie more.

joker felt like he didnt belong in this world, felt like he belonged somewhere else.

You know what Leto joker reminds me of?...

when i was in high school and kids would bring those ridiculous shirts with getto versions of characters in them :lol :lol

to me, this IS the equivalent of leto joker:
