Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

"Crime Syndicate" stand alone film, without Justice League, would be too awesome.

Right on. I wouldn't mind Morrison's version (I'm not gonna mention the classic one, cause, come on), but I'd love to see the Nu52 team:

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

I'd be fine with either one but older armored Owlman's design was sooooo much better.
I also like classic Ultraman with pointy shoulders and wider cape, it's stupid but cool. :lol

It's the chin-strap that ruins Owlman's look. As for Ultraman, the classic one is much more different, whereas the Nu52 is just Superman with a U.

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

I was excited for this and it turned out to be too 3 worst superhero films I've seen in the last 20 years or so. I honestly believe the Schumacher Bat films were better movies.

I didn't like Jurassic World and The Force Awakens (haven't seen Ghostbusters) but they are farrrrrrr better movies than this, in almost every way. Only thing SS has on them is its fresh, filled with characters we haven't seen before but that's really about it.

I will tell you SS squad has more laughs than Ballbusters. That is certain.

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

For me suicide squad was like watching a do it yourself home show. Everything the characters did I was like, ok, now what? There was no wow factor for me at all.

Man, I wanna see Question on a big screen so much. :monkey2

I'd love to see him get his own oddball series Netflix or something, just don't try connecting it to the other DC shows.

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

I will admit that the wow factor was on the lower end of the spectrum with SS.

High level WOW for me have been:

Seeing Christopher Reeve fly for the first time at the fortress in STM.
Seeing Batman 89 costume for the first time.
Nicholson Joker.
Batwing from Batman 89.
Blade catching his glasses in Blade 1.
Seeing Spiderman swing for the first time in Spiderman 1.
ASM 2 Spiderman freefall opening in 3D, just jaw dropping gorgeous.
Batman Begins Tumbler chase.
Ledger Joker.
Nick Fury post credits scene in IM1.
Seeing Avengers assemble for the first time.
Hulk smashing Loki in Avengers (brought the house down at first midnight show, i'll never forget that).
Action from TWS/CW, raised the bar for superhero movies.
Seeing Spiderman interact with other Superheroes for the first time in CW.
Netflix DD and Punisher come to life with that much respect towards those characters.
Luthor jar of pee.
Batman warehouse fight.
WW come to life on the big screen against all odds.

Sadly nothing from SS will be joining that list.

But I did enjoy SS.

I think the WW scene was cool but it benefitted GREATLY from the preceding 2 hours of awful.

Margot Robbie made me say wow quite a few times.

I've seen 99% of SS. There's nothing for me to add that Riddick and Snake didn't already say except RT has lost all credibility this year. Mythbusters need to debunk the algorithm.

Agreed even though I think even Riddick isn't being as harsh on this movie as I expected he would.
