Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

Even though I’m not fan of shaky cam, I thought Winter Soldier had great action, Rodgers chasing Bucky was the stand out scene for me, but CW’s action did nothing for me. I can’t think of a single memorable action scene in that movie. I know everyone talks about the brawl, but it was just a bunch of generic superhero action thrown together, nothing about that scene is on par with the best of the best superhero action in my opinion. Also, Spiderman 2 train fight is still king when it comes to comic book action, and the CGI on that spider from over a decade ago looked way better than it did in CW :lol

We sure agree on THAT for CW! Yes it was very non memorable in the fight dept- I do like the early Cap/BW/Crossbones fight but eveything after that is just posturing generic superhero moves- big MEH

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

Thank you

Guess you have to be part of the ssc crew to avoid a rebuttle, right snoop?

Who's avoiding a rebuttal? I told Crows that I agree with him via meme and he is right.

You didn't answer my question, BTW, so the question remains; What does it matter to you how others spend their time and money?

I post a simple opinion and get the usual fanboy blowback and I'm the bad guy? How does that work? Because I didn't further explain why I thought this movie sucks? I don't need to, just like anyone who loved it doesn't either. I didn't go at anyone or their opinion, just stated mine

There is a huge double standard here in this place

I didn't ask you to explain why you hated this movie. I said that's fine that you don't like it and suggested that you move on to something you do like. As I've said time and again; this movie isn't for everyone. I'm not losing any sleep because someone doesn't like SS.

I don't know why all the pics I upload from my iPhone are sideways but deal with it. :lol

Happens with mine too. My phone is prejudiced against vertical rectangles. I try to crop pics as square as possible to get them to post in the same orientation I took them in.

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

But see it works the other way around too

just because someone hates it doesn't mean they are stupid or dumb or have crap taste or doesnt mean that person couldn't appreciate the greatness that was SS or it desnt mean they are marvel shills or that they are smug etc etc etc.
thats what you guys dont see, i always ALWAYS notice this on the internet, when people start to hate on a movie the defenders start to attack the person's taste and character. It could be very very subtle, it could be sneaky. it doesn't even have to be direct to the person, could be an off the side comment.
It works both ways, no matter how much a person's taste or intelligence gets insulted they wont be able to see a bad movie as good.

Do you know why you always notice that on the internet? Because the internet is inundated with whiny little ******* who can't shut up about what they hate. "Oh but we need haters, in fact people who love something are just as bad. Haters make things more interesting." Bull****. Differing opinions DO make things more interesting, I'm always curious when I like or don't like a movie for instance whether or not jye, JAWS, karamazov, a-dev, rushmore, YoNoSe, and others will agree with me or not. And literally every single one of those guys has shared my opinions on some films and disagree drastically on others. But they aren't a bunch of threadcrappers incessantly trying to turn any positivity about something they don't like into something negative. But there are people here who will be disappointed or outright loathe something (the latter being silly when it comes to something like a simple movie anyway) and then just cannot shut the **** up about it.

Don't like something. Fine. Hate it even. Fine. But for the life of me I just can't relate to the mindset that says "I need to bump this thread 10 times a day for WEEKS or sometimes months just chiming in in case anyone forgot that I hate it for fear that my relevance as a human being might fade." I didn't like Deadpool. At all. And I said as much. In about three or four posts and then I was done. Same with Spectre. Was really looking forward to it, had high hopes, but thought it sucked. Like I'm going to condescend to keep associating my name and opinions, time, and energy with those subpar works but that's exactly what you see people doing with so many films on a constant basis.

Any real ongoing discussion shouldn't be overwhelmed with "haters." And again "but we need alternate opinions" is just smokescreen BS to allow people to have a free pass to crap on things other people like. Think about this entire site. Why are we here? Well since it's called "Sideshow Freaks" it's pretty much for those folks who like movie memorabilia action figures and statues. Now imagine if our membership doubled and every other person was literally someone who hated everything about figures and statues and all they did in every product announcement thread was attack every aspect of the hobby, from concept to execution. Would they be welcomed as "contrasting opinions who stimulate creative discussion?" Hell no we'd ban their ***** if there was no common interest and all they did was try to spoil everyone else's fun. And you really see a smaller more focused version of that in so many of these threads (figure threads included.)

Again, no one has to like any one film, statue, or what have you. But unless you're some retard who can't survive without seeing your name at the top of every thread about a movie you hate for the love of God state your opinion, specify what didn't work for you, and move the freak on.

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

i feel bullied by that post. i havent even that rude about this movie (I just hated on the joker nothing else)
are you trying to say that you wish only positive opinions should be allowed in here?
does this mean you agree that when someone hates a movie they should be personally attacked and insulted? they should be bullied out of a thread like it happened with the hobbit?
I dont know, that seems pretty harsh. if only positive opinions are allowed then dave should make it an official rule. that way people will know to not do it.
Maybe negative opinions could be forced to be made in spoiler tags, that way people will only open them if they want to. that could work lol

oh and Khev, you know what?

here's one last pug :dance :blissy:banana

DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

This is turning out to be a strange thread :lol

I mean, the movie was a trainwreck, I can understand if people were doing this in a thread where the movie was universally acclaimed, but this? Some of the people who worked on it don't even seem happy with how it turned out. I also have to ask, how come all this advice wasn't given in the Fantastic Four thread? That thread was far more negative than this one ever since Michael B Jordan was only rumored for the role. Once the movie dropped and it was a trainwreck like SS, I didn't see anyone trying to regulate the discussion going on in there.
