Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

Wait wait, I should watch SS but I shouldn't watch Warcraft? lol
Aren't both watchable movies that were cucked by the critics?

What's funny is that both suffer from the same editing problems. :lol

If Warcraft is as bad as SS then I might give it a watch this weekend, I'm fascinated with these trainwreck films for some reason :lol

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

What I foresee is that both SS and Warcraft are Deadpool/Guardians level.

Both of those get like a 4 to 6 from me (while being enjoyable), but the critics say they're better... yet GurlBbusters gets the score SS/WC deserve and viceversa, according to their Deadpool/Guardians standards.

Same for ID: Resurgence as for movies that should trade their scores with Gurltbusters to be consistent with the RT standards.

Man, critics are fickle as ****.

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

I read somewhere that the Chinese limit western films in general. So it might have been more that SS didn't do anything to make it stand out to them than it doing anything to turn them off explicitly.
.

thats what i was thinking as well

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

the Dark Knight Rises had as much action as the all girl ghostbusters had jokes.

And yet it's better and more entertaining than any DCEU film so far :lol

edit

It actually had way more action sequences than BVS and SS. The Bane intro, Bane bank heist, the Batman intro and escape, Catwoman/Batman fighting bad guys on rooftop and escaping on the Bat, Batman/Catwoman underground tunnel fights, Batman vs Bane, the Bane take over Gotham part had some action and pretty much the last 30 minutes of the film was action.

BVS is my go to sleep film now...it used to be Superman Returns.

I love Superman Returns but that go to sleep film comment made me :lol

TDKR had great action, I can understand if people had other problems with the film but the action was really top notch, and most of it was actually practical, for some reason Nolan’s films don’t get extra points for that from people like most other movies would.

Luthor Urine-WW-Batman warehouse fight > all of TDKR.

Ah damn, Jye did it again, he’s baited us :lol

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

I agree, my favorite TDKR action bits were Batman knocking the guy out by punching the air, midget Bane needing an edit when he went to lift Batman over his head, the entire police dept all going underground at once to be trapped and the 30 second fist fight during the climax with hundreds of extras.

Really amazing stuff, puts TWS and CW to shame. :lol

Well, to be fair when I think of action, Nolan is not someone I think of, nor do I think about Batman films when it comes to great action. However, out of the all the solo Batman films, I think TDKR had the best action.

I know I’ve seen TWS two times but the action scenes made me so dizzy I can’t remember them :lol

TDK trilogy has some of the best action in all of superheroes in my opinion. My only gripe was with the Batman Begins fight scenes since you could barely see what was happening, everything else was pretty great.
