Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

This is turning out to be a strange thread :lol

I mean, the movie was a trainwreck, I can understand if people were doing this in a thread where the movie was universally acclaimed, but this? Some of the people who worked on it don't even seem happy with how it turned out. I also have to ask, how come all this advice wasn't given in the Fantastic Four thread? That thread was far more negative than this one ever since Michael B Jordan was only rumored for the role. Once the movie dropped and it was a trainwreck like SS, I didn't see anyone trying to regulate the discussion going on in there.

I didn't even bother commenting in the Genysis thread because the movie was terrible, but it wasn't a mess like SS or F4. Some threads on here it seems okay to be negative in, and some others you can't. How do we know which one we're allowed to give our honest opinions in? :lol

Because when the movie finally hit hardly anyone saw it and of those who did no one actually liked it, yourself included. Then the thread pretty much just went away as you would expect.

Once again:

Again, no one has to like any one film, statue, or what have you. But unless you're some retard who can't survive without seeing your name at the top of every thread about a movie you hate for the love of God state your opinion, specify what didn't work for you, and move the freak on.

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

it is funny because you could say to people (Both lovers and haters) the same thing, they should state their opinion, specify what they love or hate and move the freak on lol
no one wants to see their 200th post on why they love a movie, we get it people, you loved a movie, big deal BIG buppity whoop :computer,
you loved something, okay no one wants to see your name on top of every thread trying to idolize and worship a movie or its cast!!!!!
you loved it, MOVE ON :gah:

(im kidding around in here of course, but you could always make the same point about either side. it can be equally annoying)

Why is the Batman V Superman thread still active... what is there to talk? we already have a Justice League movie. what is there to talk about BvS? i do get surprised to still see it at the top.

everything that needed to be said about BvS from both the haters and the lovers has been said. the hate and the defense for the movie has been laid down and there extended cut came out and there is literally nothing new to talk about with that movie.
figures are still coming out but we have a section for DC figures, the movie itself has been talked to death.

so you could always argue "why is that thread still going on?" feels like beating a dead horse of love now (or milking a dead cow, of love) :lol

Don't be a dope. :nono You absolutely cannot make the same claim for either side. It's completely natural and even logical to camp out in areas or discussions that you have an affinity for vs. those that you hate. Playing the "hater" ad nauseum makes you either a trouble maker or some mentally ill person who doesn't know where best to focus their time and energy.

You can make that argument, but the obvious response is - if you don't like the movie, why are you hanging out in the thread to be annoyed by people who like it?

People who just get off on being negative or have nothing better to do love to straw-man it into "I can't state my opinion" when the reality is you can't come up with a reason why you're going on and on about how much you didn't enjoy something without admitting that you should probably go outside for a walk. To the therapist.

I actually left my goodbye post in the BvS thread. :lol

Exactly. "I clicked on a thread about a movie I hate and now I'm annoyed by people who liked it." So why are you clicking there genius? :lol As I said, I didn't like Deadpool or Spectre AT ALL. And yes, I stated my opinion in those threads as to why. Did I then revisit them like a dog returning to his vomit everytime someone bumped those threads? Hell no. Why would I?

I still think the good outweighs the bad in BvS but yeah, I was expecting more from the UE and at this point I don't think there's really any more to say about the film either (at least from me.)

Yup.

And you can't compare it to Fantastic Four (sorry bruhturtle). The moment they started talking to the press that was a ****-show the likes of which I've never seen. The actual release of the movie was nothing compared to the fiasco surrounding it. Certainly you can dislike Suicide Squad and point to it's many technical faults and speculate about the level of studio interference. But to compare it to a movie that was publicly abandoned by it's unemployable director the night before release is just as forced as the "I don't know if I can talk about my feelings here" when you've reiterated your point in double digits.

a person regurgitating over and over why they loved something while denying or ignoring the movie's problems can be annoying as well though,

a super fan can be just as equally annoying to a person that is on the fence about a movie. (or mentally retarded like you said)

Im not a full hater of Suicide Squad but i didnt love it, i dont know if that makes me 50-50 on the movie or not,
(I might dislike it more than like it) But I could see myself as a person on the fence about this movie.
and to see a person online to both Ignore any criticism whatsoever and constantly try to prove "haters" are wrong can be very annoying.

And here comes the retarded part of the superfans :

you go online and say you hate a movie and then the superfan makes a lot of personal attacks and then they go look at your history and then they MOCK you for liking something else or for making a comment about something else or they go look at your ratings and then they will trash you for rating 1998's Godzilla an 8.......
then they try to find your facebook and they try to look at your taste in music or try to see your friend's list and then they wont leave you alone (YES this happens a lot at IMDB.com :lol)

the superfan online cannot accept someone else hates a movie so they will either freak out and start a full blown fight with you or they will become a stalker and then wherever you post (Not even posting in the movie they love, it could be ANY movie) they will keep posting after you either insulting you or talking about your facebook info. The superfan might even try to log in into your account trying to guess your password.
ALL because you hated a movie..........:cuckoo:

So the super fan goes to convert everyone that is on the fence and then when all else fails the superfan's last resort is to use your history or what they know about you to attack you in hopes you never come back...
I see this on IMDB, I see it on reddit.

thats equally annoying as a full on hater. (if anything it might be worse because I dont see the haters on IMDB.com go on full stalker mode)

Agreed. No one is pointing a gun to someone's head making them read any particular thread.

A broken clock is right twice a day Y'know.:wink1:

:exactly: i didnt like Deadpool either, but i don't bother going in the threads about it to hate on it. I know and respect other people who enjoyed the movie. nothing wrong with letting them be happy so they can talk about it together.

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

a person regurgitating over and over why they loved something while denying or ignoring the movie's problems can be annoying as well though,

Then spare yourself the agony and stay out of those threads. I'm serious. For all I know people quoted my criticisms of Deadpool and said I'm an idiot for not liking it. But I don't know because I left that thread long ago since, you know, it isn't worth my time to spend hours reading people talk about a movie I didn't like.

"But Khev my opinions are beautiful and unique snowflakes, I need to be heard, even when I'm trashing something." No, you really don't. None of us really need to say what's on our minds, it's a luxury not some God given right, but if you do share your thoughts you're free to disagree with others or not like something but don't be a little poison pill who can't shut up when others are trying to enjoy themselves.
