Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

crows I agree that this forum is at it's most fun when it does indeed file like a community. And that's actually why I don't tiptoe around words with you like I might a newbie. When I say "don't be a dope, don't be retarded," and all that it's because of our history going back and forth in this and other threads. I do use the words to hopefully drive points home but certainly not as scathing insults or anything.

However that community spirit is undermined if certain people put attention seeking above respecting other forum members or allowing them to enjoy what they see as the positive aspects of something without constantly trying to trash the topic of discussion, prove them "wrong," convince them that what they like actually sucks, etc.

As I said the guys I actually have the most in common with here disagree with me on various films semi-regularly. But we don't go out of our way to temper each other's enthusiasm about the things we like. Because that would be lame.

You hit it- There is NO point really

there is no "point" in anything we do really... why do we even come here? why do we even bother typing words? why do we ever log in every day? why do we even go on the computer?
we could be doing so many other things.

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

All I want to hear from you is what you thought about TDKR, Rathtars, and the Doof Warrior. A bunch of times a day, if possible.

My Heaven awaits me

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

I guess these should all be added to the Code of Conduct.

1. Repeatedly posting how much you love a movie = OK.
2. Repeatedly posting how much you didn't like a movie = NOT OK.
3. Calling other forum members retarded = OK.

has the hate for this movie really been that hard? I thought most of the people posting here were fans. There are a small group that hated it but I mostly see fans. (I mean look at everyone's signatures in here)
I dont know, I didn't think this movie was being as bashed as other movies have been. (I thought this thread was doing well) where is the ULTRA bashing that this movie is getting in here? I don't think I've seen it.

did you guys deleted posts that I missed?

I'd be fine with them coming in here and giving their reasons for hating it, that would spark a healthy debate. the problem is when they do this, you get a pug picture instead of rebuttal or any reason not to continue with said debate.

:dunno

Nah, you just led off with that "I see all over the internet people who..." and so I responded to that general statement. Yeah you can attribute points being discussed to this very thread but I wouldn't say that this thread was the worst offender by any means.

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

i explained why i disliked the joker and all you guys did was be sarcastic about my explanation imply i was wrong for not liking the joker. never once did you guys try to understand why the joker is being hated.
The pugs are just for fun, DO NOT TRASH THE PUGS MAN!!!!! JUST DONT MESS WITH MY PUGS

Crows, you're not as bad as other members. But I think the majority of us like to debate about why a movie is bad or good, and that's why we still visit threads after the initial release of a movie.

Stating the same thing over and over, or just hating on a movie with reasons that aren't given, gives us no reason to debate back. it's annoying.
