Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

He kind of crapped on the MCU by saying he doesn't care about any of the MCU films, but that's the very thing he was criticizing in the previous sentence.

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

Why would you pay? There was a great rip of the extended version in HD. I watched it the day it went up.

Because it was black Friday and I was in a buying mood at Best Buy. They had a bunch of Blu-Ray's that were only between $4 and $10. I went to see it in the theater with a friend so my son and daughter haven't seen it yet. For $6 I bought it for the day they decide they want to watch it, but will likely be doing so without me.

I thought maybe I'd give it a 2nd chance, since all the defenders say it's the great thinking mans movie that's too smart for most of us dumb fans and said the extended cut was much better. After I bought it I DVR'd it off HBO and couldn't even get through the beginning with Bruce running around the city giving the ole stink eye to Supes.. Just too deep for me I guess. I should be embarrassed when say I don't care for it, and I obviously must be a Marvel lover and DC hater especially since I go by Loki... :huh

Ok can anyone tell me what Wonder Woman is about? I've seen all the trailers and the action looks great but what is the story about?

So there's a dude with a red skull, and Diana goes topless before she turns to a big Amazon, and she gets frozen at the end? Great! I can't wait to see her kiss that blonde chick and hurl her shield!

:lol I'm actually looking forward to the Wonder Woman solo film more than Justice League, but I was so disappointed with BvS and SS that my expectations have dropped to SyFy channel movie level.

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

I know she comes to man's world during world war 1 and fights Germans, but does anyone know why, and who's the villain? Ares, Hades, or someone else suitably evil?

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

I don't get this post :lol

I wasn't crapping on the MCU though, I don't enjoy most of there movies, yet I think the DCEU movies have been even worse. I was saying that because some members are making claims that we only hate the DCEU films because we're Marvel sheep or something.

That's not crapping on the MCU though :lol

Point well taken....most folks feel the DC films thus far have been average or worse. It has nothing to do with anyone being a sheep of Disney more than fans of the DC films being a sheep to WB. One way to stop the criticism is too make a good film.

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

same for me. i havent loved a MCU film since winter soldier which to me is MCUs masterpiece so far. BvS MoS and SS i love much more than all MCU other than WS and First Avenger.

i hated IM3 and Ultron. didnt care for dark world, civil war, and im meh on guardians. i havnt seen dr strange yet and i do hope ragnarok is good. but im looking forward to WW the most out of all films not named Star Wars :)

Good to see you posting again friend!
:waveYes we think alike- MCU films are becoming cookie cuter exercises that bore me more than excite me

Then again DC always had better characters in the first place!

It's subtle crapping. You're sneaky like that. :lol

I think Danny Huston's character will turn out to be Ares.

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

I was watching Justice League unlimited the other day and some parts were pretty dark with the fear of Superman killing president Luthor, and the government being conned by Luthor into believing the league was a threat. After watching it I could see where Snyder may have gotten some of his influence for his DC movies.

And it's nice to see he's recognizing even more of the DC cartoons by making JL based on Super Friends
