No light up on Supes please SS because it might break and is cheesy but please change the Ex eyes and simply paint them red.

Lol. No , I'm actually trying to get out of collecting. Having bought The Dark Rider, Sauron, a custom and Sagat this year I've spent more than $2600 on statue's with more to come.

It's just not sustainable. Looking at the show I like the predator 2 Maq, the Engineer and possibly the Hulk. Add to that the Bruce Lee 40th anniversary there's another $3000. It's a never ending trail, there's always something else. I think I'd like to chill out and just enjoy what I've got. So I'm not buying a single thing from here on in.

Superman though is one of those pieces I feel that might be that one where if I start selling things, both he and Batman would be a good centerpiece. In other words if I were to sell my collection one day (which I can't rule out), this statue I think would be a great piece to have left.

IF it turns out good of course. It's just too expensive (the hobby).

I totally agree with you. You have to have a ton of discipline in this hobby. It is far from cheap. I made a list of my must haves and those that didnt make the cut, well they don't make the cut. Lol. Hope things work out for you.

That's prolly true, but there are cheap LEDs too and there's still a risk of them burning out. I also don't think bad wiring will last 100,000 hours either.

My personal take is Sideshow is discussing the merits of adding or changing features on Supes simply because they over reached with the ES, particularly for the regular.

They need to jumpstart the orders and adding lightup features to the regular (and EX) should do that. Just look to the Green Lantern PF as the perfect example.

Adding a lightup ring to the regular has ensured a much faster sellout.

Light up is horrible for Supes. *sigh* This isn't a toy, it's a 400 dollar statue...

So are we saying they'll add light up eye's or the base?

I can see them putting a few lights on the ice base to make it pop but there's no chance they'll put lights on the eyes.
Hardly anyone uses light ups, most serious collectors have a good lighting set up to show off their pieces anyway.

I think the statue is fine. If anything I think they may just chop off the red swirls or tweak them slightly.

Not sure how I would feel about a light up feature for Supes. I think the base is a bit bland, but wouldn't really be interested in a light up base.

I think it adds more character to it, but I can understand there could be some breakage issues.

I am not sure if they will improve the base as it has already been altered since it appeared the first time at SDCC.
