For all we know, SS could have planned on a $350 price. But all this $400 talk would just give them the confidence and indirect permission to overcharge us.

No offense....I highly doubt that discussions in this thread are influencing the final price point of this piece.

Manufacturers generally do not green light a project without having some idea of the final price point based on labor, inventory, material, advertising, and other relevant costs. Are there some subjective factors that impact the final price point....absolutely. But the final decision on the price point on this piece will not be based dialogue in this thread.

If forum members have that much control over price, then let's start some threads telling SS we will not pay more than $59.99 for any piece they produce.
