DC Direct 13" Nightwing

Got my Nightwing yesterday from Marc @ Alter Ego. Happy to add him to the lineup, although the cuffs are too big. Mine had some paint come off the top of his head.....it was smeared inside the tray. Not enough of a problem to send it back though. I'll just touch it up.

Is the DCD 13" line perfect? No. However, it remains my favorite line.

Bring on the double dose next month! Classic Batman & Batgirl! WOO HOO!

My LCS had Two-Face sitting on the shelf for a while, but even he's sold out now. You have to get there early on Wednesday to even get a new one on the day they come in.

The DCD rep at SDCC said they were doing really well and hinted at some very obscure characters coming down the pike. I doubt they'd be doing that and tooling the female, teen and (skinny?) body if it weren't a successful line.

The scale is a non issue to me anymore because it is what it is. I just wish they would retool just the upper arms and legs to get rid of the cut joints and give us extra molded hands if this is that successful of a line.

Agreed, though I kind of like his X-men alittle more. Too bad he takes so damn long to draw this stuff up...

I just got mine the other day, and I took off his cuffs, and gently pried the ones on the boots off. He looks much better, and sleeker, as the character should look. Now if he only had hands that could hold his sticks I'd be a happy boy. Oh well, there's always the dremmel. Will Post some Pics tonight.

Plus, I agree that as soon as you have a few of these figures displayed together they look much better. I now have Green Lantern, Batman, Nightwing, and Shazam, and they look sharp together.

The glove cuffs come off relatively easy. Just take the hand out carefully, and remove the cuffs. The boots are a little more tricky. First unzipp the boot and take it off. It will be very hard to get the foot through the cuff, just do it slowly so as not to break the foot. When you have the boot off, gently pry the boot away from the cuff, and the put it back on. I am going to touch up the top of the boot with a little black paint. It's not that hard, just be careful, and you too can get rid of those annoying cuffs.

The Nightwing does look better with the stuff taken off. The Batman and Green Latern look great, I need to track me down a GL does the lantern light up by chance and your display looks great .

Green Lantern is still the best of the line IMO. And yes, that lantern lights up. VERY bright!

I have to say I really like this figure. The heroic scale of the line had to grow on me. I'm probably a bit biased because I'v always liked the character. The face sculpt is nice but a bit jarring. I never pictured Brad Pitt as Dick Greyson/ Nightwing. I always saw a young Jason Gedrick in that role. (https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001263/)

Good luck on the GL, when he shows up on eBay from time to time you will have to expect to pay around $150-250 to get him.

Wow that is super cool that the lantern lights up!!!. After searching google i did find these but why no GL?.

I do not know how this sight is CCG Armory but they do have several for sale unfortunately they did not have what i wanted Green Lantern . I may pickup Aquaman, Superman, Batman, TwoFace.

Yes its crazy considering this was a $50 fig. Given the Hot Toys Supes V2 and Takara Bats reissue I think there should be hope for another shot at Hal.
