Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Thanks, I hope its the batmobile personally. We already know they're going to make the rest. I need that batmobile

DC Collectiblies has never made an vehicle for their Arkham Line so I doubt this will be any different... and MTV.com said FIGURE and the best choice would be Animated Series Batman...

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Wow, they all look pretty good, Joker looks a little weird, but could be the white background, still looks pretty good.

True, but if they do start making vehicles , this would be the perfect line to do it with because of the large fan base.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Vehicles would be pointless considering they couldn't sit in them.

I'm happy dusting off my Kenner Batmobile, might be out of scale but as a display piece it still looks pretty good

I wouldn't put the figures in the batmobile anyway. It's not like I'm going to play with them. :lol I would display them next to it, just standing there, but if they can make the capes soft enough for them to fit in it, that would be great...or maybe the vehicle can come with a specially design batman torso that comes with the car, like Hot Wheel did with the 1/18 scale 66 batmobile :) But now that's too much for DCC :lol

I wouldn't play with them either, but playability and features would still be important. I mean, isn't that why we care about the articulation and accessories on these guys? If all they can do is stand there next to them, I don't see the point. Vehicles, I think, is asking for too much. If the figures themselves are $25 a pop, I bet a vehicle would be in the $70-$80 price range, easily. Just look at the Mattel 66 Batmobile (which Batman and Robin could actually sit in). They cut back and made a cheap ass, hollow vehicle and it was still 70 bucks. I don't even want to know what DCD would charge.

The Kenner one still holds up I think, that and the Batwing,

I want to see the big boys like BTAS Man-Bat and BTAS Clayface. I'm also curious what the packaging looks like, I bet it's something classy.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

No problem. Yeah, it's crazy now. I'm glad I bought all the ones I did, when I did back in the day. If you have ebay, always keep an eye out. You never know what auction you might come across,

Good luck.

Wow, what a steal! Fairly recent too!

Why couldn't these sit in vehicles? They could always feature a slot for the capes.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

I think I know what's wrong with the Joker's face. It's the upper front teeth. They are to short, when they should be little smaller than the lower teeth...or maybe it's the white face and white background messing with my eyes :lol Also, they need to be more yellow, but it could be the flash or the quality of the press photo. Either way, it still looks good.

There's no denying that it looks like the character from the show :)

Yup, and his nose should be longer. And he should have red on his upper lip and maybe a little larger, more elongated head. His orange vest should also be cut different at the waist, not a straight line.

Honestly, after seeing the others, this isn't a very good attempt. There's a lot wrong with it. The maquette they did years back is so much better (save for the lack of black in the hair).

As far as the length of the head and nose, it's hard to tell because of all the white, but the nose seems to be below the upper lip. The upper lip could be a bit bigger, but then again it is a six inch figure, so it might be right for the scale. However, I totally didn't see the orange shirt detail :lol I guess they made it flat for the articulation on the waist maybe? Still, I don't get it? They are using 3d digital scans of Bruce Timm's original art to make these, so they should look more accurate.

Oh, and one more thing, no coat tails.

I really don't get this one, especially after they nailed Robin.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

It's not just the orange vest, the purple coat has a different cut too!! I know why they did it!!! To save money sculpting a new body!! The new adventures Joker has the same cut on the purple coat and orange vest/green!! I knew it! They love the new adventures and they want to save money by using the same body for two different figures.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

I guess he wore two different purple jackets with two different cuts, and the cut on the orange vest is less noticeable, but still not accurate.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

DCC's got all kinds of "Ask DC Collectibles" features. Someone should really post some of the issues with The Joker in the next edition, as I think they're well worth addressing.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Yeah, they're taking a lot of polls and opinions from the fans right now, I bet if a lot of us pointed at the inaccuracies (provided they're not intentional) we could get some response.
