Yeah it's pretty shocking to think back to watching him in Heat still totally in his acting prime and realize that we were completely oblivious to the fact that his career would be all downhill from there for decades on end. Same for pretty much everyone else in that film (Kilmer, Sizemore, Judd) save for Portman. Pacino at least had Donnie Brasco and Insomnia (still one of my favorite Nolan flicks.)

EDIT: Forgot about Ronin for De Niro, which came after Heat. That was cool.

I did forget about Ronin. That movie was really great too. I never realized that heat was the last big movie some of the stars. Great point on that. I liked Insomnia too.

Yep, totally agree about Heat. I think he did Heat, Ronin and The Score and that was it for me as far as good Deniro movies.

Khev, surely you have your one frame of fame saved somewhere!?

Speaking of Cuba...

I need you like Ben Affleck needs acting school
He was terrible in that film
I need you like Cuba Gooding needed a bigger part
He's way better than Ben Affleck

So another DC movie that will pull a piece out of TDKReturns instead of TDKReturns just being made.

For me that was too on the nose especially the laugh timing.

He?s not a struggling guy descending into madness his baseline is already madness just descending into more madness.

My favorite shot was literally the last shot of the curtain at the end loved the colors and his body movements.

Both Trailers for this movie are Amazing. Looks Epic

He?s got an amazing face just on its own the makeup kind of takes away from that.

His natural face in this does a great job at showing psychological pain.

I still think he looks more like the joker without the makeup.

Agreed on both counts.
Whereas the makeup on Ledger looked menacing, in this case it makes him look less so.

This looks very good.
Basically, it seems they're taking the idea of the Joker and stripping it of any comic-book or genre tropes. It looks like a psychological drama, just with the Joker's make-up/name attached to it.
So, basically, gritty and real.
Looking forward to it!

Yeah Ledger?s angelic face only became somewhat creepy once they put the scars and jelled his hair back.

JP?s face truly shows a rough life.

I'd totally be interested in a Hot Toys version of this Joker

Especially if the movie is good.

I think this will be the epic comeback DC film that will awe critics and pleasure the masses or will be one letdown. My feeling is it will be the former....:impatient:

Epic Comeback as in what?

They already had their epic comeback with Aquaman breaking 1B something even JL couldn?t accomplish.

Joker ain?t breaking 1B.

Or do you mean critically as in Joker will be DC?s first superhero movie to be considered Nolan TDK quality.
