Well cinematically 89 Joker was intending to kill everyone at the parade.

True but I thought you meant just killing random individuals. I equate Phoenix enjoying the riots at the end with the 89 parade or TDK ferries. The difference being the chaos that follows Phoenix isn't orchestrated, it just sort of follows him like the wake of a ship. Which *might* even be scarier.

Ledger was asking random people to blow up each others boats.

Comics most famous is the talk show audience from DKR.

Yeah, and I guess 89 Joker was the most randomly homicidal. I forgot about all the beauty products that he was tainting just to kill people for no reason, lol. The literal definition of killing at random. A different take on the character to be sure.

Wife is actually dying to see this so my second viewing will be this coming weekend at a dolby screen.

Thinking about those three Wall Street guys he killed I wonder if they should?ve made it that they?re drunk bad behavior on the train against the girl and Arthur was all in his mind and he killed three guys who were just minding their own business imagine that!

That?s more my Joker lol

Society, bullying, the 1%, medicaid cuts none of that made him a killer it was all on him.

Yep totally and maybe they were. As I left my auditorium and walked past the door to the Liemax showing I thought "ooh I need to see some of this in large format" and ducked in right as he was blowing away the guys on the train and then ended up sitting and watching another 30 minutes immediately after my first full showing, lol.

And I instantly noticed how when Arthur was on the date with his neighbor that the guy behind the counter was giving him weird looks as he sat with her. Now of course we know that it's because he was sitting there laughing and having a conversation with himself. So maybe the girl that the dudes were bothering on the train didn't exist and he fabricated her to imagine himself a hero when really he was just laughing loudly and drawing attention to himself so that he could fight them.

The train went by him for a long time while he killed the last guy so there could have been other witnesses if the girl wasn't real.

You do realize who owns CNN right?

sigh

Cross Marketing - Marketing thru Controversy

Let me put it this way Warner Media is very happy that you posted that your actions was exactly what they intended.

No matter how good you may feel about yourself for sticking it to the liberal media that is trying kill Joker you fell right into their algorithm trap.

They want you to be angry.

They want you to be frustrated.

They want you to feel good about sticking it to them.

They are happy you are sharing your thoughts about their product with others.

So yeah good job putting CNN in their place you showed them lol

I'm not angry or frustrated there Dr. Feud. I think the whole thing is hilarious! Also its not a right/left thing. The media as a whole is doing it! :wave

The girl not being on that train is so being revealed in the commentary track lol

I guess if that was the case though they probably would?ve revealed it in the movie.

Lol.

I like how they kept his borderline suicidal tendencies with him first planning to go on Deniro's show to just off himself in front of everyone. That kind of echoes comic DKR's neck snap and Nolan TDK's hospital coin toss with Harvey.

Can I tell you honestly that didn?t work for me I never bought for one second that he was going to do that even though the movie was trying to sell me that I just went with my gut feeling that he was going to kill F Murray.

Oh well at least it was better than Rambo 5 lol

No I wasn't expecting him to do that and then the movie ends just like I wasn't expecting Dent to kill Ledger in the hospital lol, I just liked how uncommitted he was to even his own impulses and that no action was off the table in any given moment regardless of whether it was harmful to others or himself.

I wonder how re-watchable this will be over time? Like if you buy it in 3 months on 4K, after that initial revisit, would you ever pop it in again? Other than Joaquin's performance, I'm not sure I could actually "enjoy" in on multiple viewings.

What's weird is that for all uproar about this film having objectionable content I'd easily let my kids watch this before Logan and Deadpool.

Yup although Logan is really not much worse than Joker.

I bet WW2 is getting re-shoots of Cheetah having hallucinations lol

Ding ding ding ding ding!

I was bored in parts.

The visuals might warrant a repeat especially in 8K HDR but honestly nothing really happened in this movie lol

Now come on Wor you can?t claim you were bored during EG and then rewatch this 15x lol

I?m hitting JAWS with that as well lol

Nope, its true, that's why I posed the question. I'm not sure I need another viewing. It worked for me on first view... but there's not a lot there to revisit, except JP's performance... and I don't really watch movies multiple times because of performance unless its porn.

I'd watch the last 15 minutes a lot though, like Taxi Driver. But there's a lot of slow burn in the lead up. The subway kill is good re-viewing too.

Perhaps if this movie had more energy, like Goodfellas, I could watch it over and over... but its so glum and down and sad... maybe if he became Joker halfway through the movie, and then spent time causing more and more havoc -- a revolution of a kind.

Porn :rotfl

You know what always blows my mind about porn I mean granted I shouldn?t be shocked there are 8 billion people in the world afterall but I?m just amazed at how many girls there are making porn movies you can watch months worth of porn and not see the same girl twice it is mind blowing!

Well not just mind blowing lol

It is part of the world's oldest profession. That would make paying for it the world's oldest purchase.... and therefore prostitution is the world's most successful business.

Only time will tell but if it isn't something that demands constant revisits I won't hold that against it. I honestly find all three Nolan Batflicks to be pretty boring for long stretches, so much so that I rarely revisit them, but when I do end up sitting through them from beginning to end I'm always glad that I did. I have a good number of movies that I'll wait years before revisiting including big ones like BR and LOTR. It's probably been a good two years since I last watched Fury Road and I absolutely loved that film.
