Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

Woohooo! My Titan Joker arrived this-morning!
I absolutely love this figure!! He's so massive and heavy and amazingly detailed! I absolutely love that you can fit Batman (or whoever) into his hand too! Here's a few pics:

Here's where he's currently residing on my dio for the moment. Shame he doesn't really belong in there since he's from AA but he's such an awesome figure I'll let him stay there for a little while I think!

Sick collection and set up bro!

Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

How much was he? I spent £3000 on this 1:1 RX8 Evolve (1 of 100 in the UK) so I dont have alot of money spare now XD

You spent only 3000 Pounds (where is the key to that symbol :lol) for an RX8, is that a typo?

I wanted one of those cars for years, but they're over 50K new and still around 25K second hand here. Ended up settling for a Subaru Impreza GX, I needed an AWD.

Anyway back to Batman - was there a Tahlia figure released? I can't see one in that awesome display :)

Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

My Titan Joker arrived, it's amazing, really glad I got it. Really looking forward to the inevitable Grundy and Clayface figures. A few bigger figures really make the collection look better and more varied. I'd be tempted by the Twins as well.

Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

Yeah I agree, the larger figures really add some nice variation to the line. Really hope we get a Clayface sooner rather than later, I'm sure he'll look fantastic, especially if he's the same size as Titan Joker.

Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

I think the paint apps on Batman's skin is a step down, plus they are making his gauntlet fins in soft rubber/plastic? they came warped under pressure in the package... even Azrael's blades onhis right gauntlet was warped... nice to get these guys... but the paint on the skin seems much cheaper than the previous apps like Zsaz...

Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

Yeah, I get what you're saying about the skin for Batman, but I don't really mind it since this is a 'clean' version of Batman anyway. If they make a battle-damaged version I would hope that they'd add some more paint apps to the face then.

I'll say, that's less than AUD $5K. You would never get that car at that price here, not even close. We pay way too much for everything!

Been playing around with my camera again today! :D

Of course sfa posts his amazing pictures right before I post my display. TYPICAL. It's not much, and I don't know where I'll put future figures, but yeah. I like the whole look of the line, especially with the bigger figures standing out.

Haha sorry CultofSkaro! Very typical indeed! lol
Your collection looks great though :D They look awesome lined up together like that. I'm sure you could easy fit another wave of figures in with those there.

I think this is what my collection will end up looking.

As much as I like to have all of the figures, I just don't have enough $ to be spending on sick batman, detective batman, joker thugs variant. Not sure if I should get a AC HQ, as I'm pretty happy with the AA ver, and my goal is to have the rogues gallery and minimize variants of the same character.

That said, I did make an exception for joker and have gotten all 3 version of him already. :lol

Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

Yeah, having multiple versions of the same character is something I generally want to avoid. I'm probably going to sell the old AA Batman at some point. Having two Jokers is okay though (until Clayface comes out) and I like both Harleys too much so I'm keeping them.

You can just do what I did and divide it into AC and AA displays. I really should've put regular Joker in the Arkham City display, but then Nurse Harley looks odd without a regular Joker near her. SO STRESSFUL. If you're mildly OCD about it.

I can relate to that:lol

However, (just finished the main story last night :() regular joker in AC aren't really joker. So I say he's fine at the AA shelf. Why are you getting rid of the AA bats? The costume is diff than that of AC. Plus, the hands aren't suffering from that tiny hands syndrome :lol

I never really liked the blue version, that's all. And I don't notice the tiny hands too badly so yeah.

Also, does anyone else's AA Wave 3 Batman have a longer cape than usual? Mine does, it doesn't just go straight down his back, it has to extend back a little to fit. I don't know if they're all like that or not.

Tell me about it!! I've been known to get a little OCD with my displays too.
I don't know if anyone has noticed yet, but on my dio the villains are seperated into two areas. I've kept all the villains that were in the Industrial & Amusement Mile areas of the game in the left hand side, and all the villains that were in the Park Row & Museum areas of the game on the right hand side (Croc can be in either since he was in the sewers and in the Iceberg Lounge in the game. Same for Freeze who was in numerous sections during the game) and of course, villains like Ra's, Hugo & Talia are/will all go at the top on the balcony. That way my display sort-of corresponds to the game areas more too.
Now THAT's OCD! :lol

Same here, mines a little too long also. Must be on all of them then. I've noticed it's not a problem when you use the stand though.
