Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

If they start doing remakes of figures they could draw the line out a while longer. Gimme a new Zsasz and Bane.

Also, we're at the awkward time where I assume that every new post in this topic will be pictures. So, unless you're posting pictures/other announcements, DON'T POST.

Or, y'know, post away. I'm sure I'm not the only one who gets excited when he sees there's been a new post and then disappointed when there are no pics. So we could leave this topic until then. Or not. Do whatever. :)

A new Bane wouldn't be out of the question. He has a different attire in AC as appose to the AA version previously released, and judging by the price the AA version goes for now in the secondary market, I wouldn't be surprised to see an AC Bane introduced to the AC line.
Having missed out on the AA version, and unwilling to ay the secondary market prices, I'm all for a new Bane, but I would hope we get un-released characters first ( Strange, Gordon, Grundy, Clayface etc.). :lecture

Batman: Arkham City Series 4 action figure set. (from DC Comics blog page)

I am a little disappointed. :( Who sculpted these figures?
Nightwing looks decent in this photo.
Talia face looks, awkward.
Another Batman, with a ultra-posable articulation variant? :/

Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

Where did you get those photo's? Thank you! :yess: :goodpost: :goodpost: :goodpost:

Batman looks great imo, definitely getting him. :yess: Nightwing looks good too but, Talia does seem a little off.

Thanks for the great find. Yeah, I hope there is more than 3 figures per series. I wonder what the price will be since they seem to be deluxe?

Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

I'm confused.

Like, only three figures. Nightwing looks not that much better than Mattel's. Talia is bleh, but could just be the angle and I don't care much about her anyway. A super poseable Batman is a good thing, but weird that they didn't just release that in wave 3.

But yeah, please let them show more. I expect they will do - these seem like three 'not a huge deal' figures, and the thing a while ago seemed to suggest NYCC would show a lot of stuff.

Also, updating Batman's articulation could open the way for other older figures to be updated, which would be very, very good. A new Joker with added articulation and a more accurate face sculpt (perhaps even just the sick Joker head de-scarred) would be very welcome.

I like the Nightwing figure but the Batman I really don't like and Talia seems off...It doesn't look like a DCC figure but a really good Mattel one. Hopefully we'll get some better pictures at NYCC that will change my mind.

Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

another batman??
well... he looks better than the wave 3, but there's a lot of characters to be done. We already hace 3 batman variants, and with this 4, and I'm only counting the Arkham City series.
thalia and nightwing look very meh to me, the head sculp on thalia is really bad.
for me this wave is easy pass... maybe will get batman anyway cause he looks cool, but we will se...

If they are "deluxe" and are more expensive, let say $30-40 will be more easy to pass :rotfl

Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

Really hoping for more reveals too, but these look pretty decent to me anyway!
Batman looks amazing, aside from that horrid upper-torso joint. Looks so ugly and out of place. I hate torso joints. Other than that though he looks phenomenal.
Nightwing looks awesome, a million times better than that Mattel effort! Happy to have him as part of the collection.
Talia is also a great addition, even though the head sculpt doesn't look too accurate here. Hopefully that's just a bad photo though.

So yeah, fairly happy with these, but definitely hoping for more reveals at NYCC! It seems strange DCC would state they couldn't reveal what was under the cloth until NYCC, but then show us these. I'm hoping that means there's more to be shown....

I think the torso joint looks okay, it blends in pretty well. It's good to have a Batman that is capable of more dynamic poses anyway. And I much prefer the overall look and colouring, and the cape not being so over-the-shoulders.

Talia looks almost as if they photographed the body headless, then added the head in later on. I think she'll be fine in the end, and if not then I'm not hugely bothered. If they botch Strange, Deadshot or Two-Face I'll be LIVID of course.

Re: Batman: Arkham City - DC Direct - Series 1 action figures

I'm waiting to see the Comic Con stuff before I create solid opinions, but at the moment I think I'm a bit disappointed :/
Nightwing looks great, hopefully that's just a bad picture of thalia, and the sculpt will be a bit better :/ But I don't understand why they'd make a batman that sticks out so much, I liked that even though all previous ones were different - they still had a sense of uniform.
This Batman looks really different? from what I can see anyway :/ If the figure were from another toy line I'd say it looks incredible - because it does! ... :/ it just doesn't seem to fit in my eyes, if this is the whole wave - then I think I'm a bit disappointed.
let's see what else comic con offers us,
