33 minutes into dead space 2 WOW !!!
the graphics on the pc version are superb. this is so awsome playing a game back to back. picks up right after 1.
ohh man what a fantastic game already.
dam that guy straped to the bed got cut into pieces and I could not helped him.

Lol what about kotaku? There's is even worse its in the damn 7's. I loved the series at one point too but I'm not going to be a fanboy because of it. Did you guys not play the demo. That should have told you how bad it was going to be (as a dead space) it's just a shooter with aliens now

Sorry guys I'm not trying to rain on your parade. But I'm just bitter at this gaming industry anymore. I literally buy at the MOST 2 games a year. All because of what publishers are doing to their once great franchises. And 1 of the 2 games this year would have been dead space 3. Now my only hope looks like the last of us

I am not worried about DS3....I loved the first two, and consider them action with horror elements myself....I suspect I will love DS3 as I liked the demo......


That said, I have yet to play DS3 and most likely won't til Thur or Sat with my schedule

3 is amazing, just finished chapter 4

Yes, the creepy atmosphere is there, but it has changed a lot in the first few chapters. I can explain in spoilers a bit if you'd like to read. I will try my best to not give away too much.

-You start mysteriously looking for something.
-Later you are escaping from a gunfight in a city.
-Then you are on a spaceship flying to an unknown planet.
-Something happens and you evacuate the ship in space, very tense and action packed.
-Using an escape cube, you dock onto a ship which is empty, and the mood is eerie. You spend time in this area, flying around space in your suit, exploring what is going on, what happened to all these ships (with an amazing soundtrack perfect for space, almost a mix of Space Odyssey and Star Trek).

There is a lot of new territory, environments and settings that this game is taking place in that the DS franchise has not explored before. It is expanding the DS universe and making it even greater. It's been amazing, and there are 19 chapters total! I only expect the game to get better.

I played and really enjoyed Silent Hill downpour recently which IGN gave 4.5 or something along those lines.

Yeah, Silent Hill Downpour was pretty decent...I had issues with some of it, but overall, probably the best SH title since part 2 or 3. IGN giving it a 4.5 is just downright wrong.....

And not bashing IGN, I just don't hold them to high water. Now, I do love Gametrailers, and their score was equally harsh, but I can't see this stuff till I get home.

That said, the only true reviews I care about: fans! Both on these boards and outside here

omg ! the end of chapter 5 on dead space 2 was so epic.
that was so sick fighting that huge necro and then blowing the explosive can near the gunship. amazing game.
I feel less scared on this game. feels more like action.
the first one is so scary.

I am loving the series and I cant wait to play part 3.

That's not really how you should look at it. You shouldn't just ignore the reviews all together. They usually have some good info, but the thing you have to keep in mind that it is one mans opinion. Personally I always give games a try no matter what I hear. That being said it is pretty funny how people think it is the end of the world if their game didn't review as good as they thought it should.

Amazon told me via email my DS3 is coming tomorrow, but in the middle of Severed right now - gonna finish that one first, but can't wait to get to DS3 by weekend hopefully!

Yeah I check out Gamespot on days of big released games so I can read all the people whining that it only got an 8 or something similar to that

Yup, but I wonder: do they even know what they are raging about? Most freak out when the demo doesn't live up to whatever preconceived notions they had in their heads..


kinda sad some can't make up their own minds by playing something for themselves. If someone is truly concerned, rent it first.
