started DS3 !
all I have to say is that the visuals on pc with all the graphics cranked to very high and I mean evrything the pc version can offer looks Unreal.
My GTX 580 runs this game at 90fps steady.
It looks stunning.
The way this game started was just unreal. WOW !
just got to the ship where ellie is brodcasting the signal and the set pieces in space look so amazing.
This game already gets a 10/10 for me.
thanks god the mouse aim was fixed since part 1. aim is perfect.
WOW what a game.
back to the game.

Chris's scenario on Re 6 looks like a slow burner compared to the first 2 hours i am in to DS3. 5 Minutes in to " real " gameplay and your having to learn a cover system whilst avoiding machine gun fire and massive explosions everywhere.

thankfully its started to turn a bit more dead space where i am now. Still not very impressed.

I would be if it was a new property but not the 3rd game

Played a bit last night, really enjoying it so far. I should have gone back and played a little DS2 last week as a refresher though, kept making stupid mistakes with that got me killed, quickly. Played for about 40 minutes until I remembered stasis.

Chapter 1 on hard mode gave me 11 health packs....do they get less plentiful as the chapters go on? Hard mode was super easy.....

I'm getting a lot of med packs on impossible so I think it's safe to say you're going to be receiving a lot. The only thing is, I get hit a lot on impossible and the high damage means I'm burning through med packs somewhat quickly. Then there's those one hit kills that come out of nowhere :thud:

Thanks; looks like I am switching to impossible....

It's weird I haven't played the 2nd in two years but when I jumped into this game I mastered the controls easily.

I'm not overly impressed with this game. I mean it still has some of the atmosphere but I don't like having universal ammo and also the way the necromorphs attack is annoying. Story seems weak so far. I'm in chapter 6 and I've got no real urge to keep playing it. Such a shame.

Ya know...I'm in a similar boat. I'm in the same chapter and so far i just feel like I'm "going through the Dead Space motions". It's fun and all, but I'm just not enjoying it as much as I thought. Hopefully it picks up after I actually get on the planet.

Chpt 6 and still not on the planet? Whoa - its not in any rush for that part of it

I am on Chp3 and am impressed with the game. I am loving the story, but not happy with how easy the game is - on impossible, health packs are common, but you do take damage easier....the universal ammo and the blue ringed stairs are annoying, but not a deal breaker for me

man ! not liking the weapong upgrade too much.
I want to buy my rifle and line gun right away.
the dam necros are so hard this time. they wont go down.

ohh man I got the N7 suit on. I look so sick.
I wish they had some scenes in mass effect that you had to go outside and repair the ship using thrusters. when you are outside specially when you use the shuttle to move from ship to ship looks spectacular.
when you pan arround it gives you and incredible feel of being in space.

I am off for the weekend so I am going to put lots of hours on this amazing game.

Have mine installed but holding off til tonight so I can play it for a while instead of a bit at a time. Not sure I like the sound of this universal ammo but we'll see.

How are the difficulties this time out, same as DS2?

Well I'm on chapter 3. Don't know what to think yet. It's just not what I wanted so far. They killer for me is that there are going to be human enemies. So stupid that they would do that.

Finished the game Wednesday night. Thought it was great. Personally didn't mind the human enemies since it seemed that there were so few of them and I quickly finished them off. Tried Co-Op a few times, I'm not much of a talker so I wish there more search filters so I could find games where people go after the optional missions.

Even if it fits the story? Speaking for myself, the Unitologists have gone from fanatics to terrorists....I would expect them to be violent....is it just me? I like the change in variety since Unitologists are partly behind the Necros in some ways, being marker lovers and all that.

on chapter 15 now !
taking a break for today. will finish it for sure tomorrow.
what a great game.
it has it's scary parts but not as much as part 1 and 2 still an amazing game.

the visuals are just blowing me away.

I could tell the third was more action oriented than the first two by the trailers, which isn't at all a bad thing imo.
