You'd think all this action would translate into a hard game? I am playing on Impossible mode and find the game incredibly easy. Like the demo was easy 'easy.' Anyone else notice that the human sized Necros don't need to be shot in their limbs to be stopped. Couple hits to their torso and they go down?

Production values are beyond amazing, but the game needs to ramp up the difficulty setting, by a lot. Co-op may be too easy to bother with, i dunno

I'm on chapter 11 and i'm just grinding my way through it to be honest. The first part of the game was better than the frozen planet. I'm just bored now to be honest. What a bloody let down.

I guess Pure Survival may be the mode to play. In that mode, ammo and health packs don't drop, just resources. You have to craft everything. Difficulty is set to hard there as well.

If there was a patch to reduce ammo and health drops in the higher difficulties, I would welcome it.

Yeah, same here...patch the game so I don't have 19 health packs at a time

Ok, the Tungsten part? The one needed to make the bar to open special doors? I have not found the part in the game legit at all, and only see an option to buy it with a microtransaction?

Tell me that a microtranaction isn't' the only way for certain resources? If so, I willl be pissed

get the mining robot to pick it up for you. set it up at the marker and he will bring you some tungsten.

as a scary game it has some moments. not as scary as part 1 and 2 but the set pieces in space are just amazing.

I am glad I played all of them. 3 games of my list.

This game had its moments of scare and tension but sadly second is just all around better. It was just damn freaky. The babies, the fact your in a city type place, the way your dead Girlfriend was inside your head and kept speaking to you. Damn when she was whispering to you over the radio scared the crap out of me.

Co-op is a harder mode than solo - found the co-op required chapter so set my game up for public - noticed the enemies are more plentiful in co-op, which makes me a lot happier with the game experience.Solo mode is way too easy

Any freaks up for co-op later? I go slow as I look for stuff, though. Live GT xx Matt71 xx

just finished the game. epic ending. jesus that was intense.
the final act's visuals on pc are just spectacular.

I am so glad to have finished all the games in one week.
over all part 3 was an awsome game and a great addition to the series.
this one was more action then 1 and 2.
part 1 for me was the scariest.

I will def play more dead space games in the future. bring them on.

I also finished the game last night. I really enjoyed it. There were some areas that I felt were fairly difficult - the disposal area optional mission was one of them. Lots of those twitchy super fast necros and those other ones with the axes that are more difficult to kill.

Hearing people say they thought this game was easy on impossible, makes me feel like I must be the world's crappiest gamer. :lol I'm going to try this on hard next - but I have doubts that I will be able to finish it. :lol Especially some sections - like when an elevator stops running and you get the contamination warning and you get waves and waves of necros coming after you. I reckon my problem is I stay pretty stationary and end up getting myself backed into a corner. Perhaps I should be running around more. :dunno

I found this game fairly scary. Every time I saw one of those vents in a room I was all paranoid something would come jumping out of it at any moment. Was constantly watching my surroundings and trying to find safe places to stand or run to whenever I needed to operate an lift or something in case I got rushed by necros. Though I will admit it wasn't as scary as the first time I played DS1. But I think that is mostly because it was a new game, new series and I had no idea what to expect.

I liked how the series ended. Thought it was a great way to wrap up the story of Isaac.

.

Dude, you aren't done.

You have Dead Space for ISO
Dead Space Extraction (good rail shooter)
Dead Space Ignition (ok, maybe not)

Get to it....show us you are a true fan!

the game has gotten a smidge tougher in Chpt 9...I guess I feel its easy due to my one gun having 3000 ammo and the other having 1700....like, the guns will never run dry!

LOL ! I think with the main games is good enough.

I've only seen Aftermath - I thought it was well done and gave some good backstory on Stross (who we see in DS2) and additional information on what is going on between games 1 and 2.

Animated movies were pretty decent...really rough animation but the story was pretty darn intriguing

I am at Chpt 10 now and turned a gun into a rocket launcher/buzz saw combo - having fun against some Unitologist dudes

Just finished chapter 5...

I'm not loving a lot of the changes - I don't like the dumbing down of the suit dynamics, and the essentially unlimited ammo takes some of the fun out. Also, the pre-order suits are absolutely hideous. A gold pimp suit or a ****ty looking tagged up suit. I know the "graffiti" is meant to be similar to the symbols, but I still think it looks awful.

I haven't spent too much effort looking into gun upgrades / variations, so while I don't really like the new Bench, I haven't spent enough time with it to write it off.

But after the first post-prologue chapter or two in the city that felt ridiculously un-Dead Space-y, it got me back into space, and I'm happier.

After some of the initial feedback, I was braced for a very stripped-down DS experience, to make the general public happy. While there has been a lot of that, diluting some of the first two (main) games' charm, DS's fun isn't gone.

But I'm only 25-30% in, my opinions on this could change. But the further into the game I get, the more it's regaining its DS footing, so hopefully that continues.

And while most games have been trimming down their manuals, and relying on tutorials and menu-screen information to teach the player, I'm pretty sure this is the first 360 game I've gotten than just didn't even bother with any sort of manual.

Thanks. I'll have to check them out.
Not sure whether to pick this or Aliens up next , I know this will be a much better game but I'm a bigger Aliens fan. :slap
