Some folks here are unsatisfied. ..............Sure didn't expect that.

Seeing it tomorrow night.

I just got back from seeing it. It was alright. It was everything I thought it would be and, well, everything I thought it would be. :lol

There were some funny jokes and I laughed a couple of times. I liked the subplot with the taxi driver, got a kick out of the scene where Deadpool breaks all of his limbs off of Colossus, the "sex throughout the year" scene, especially the one with lent, and a couple of other scenes. The "which one, Stewart or Mcavoy" made me chuckle. It wasn't bad. My audience seemed to be having a much better time than me though, I heard tons of literal "lols". I personally didn't think Wade looked that grotesque or awful. He kind of just looked really old. Certainly a "disfigurement" that is pretty tame by realities standards. I wasn't sure why people were getting visibly disgusted as he was walking through the streets in that hoodie.

All in all, an entertainment movie. I really liked the homage to Ferris Bueller at the end, that was really well done. I knew as soon as I saw that hallway what they were going for. :lol

There's an old man in my town who actually has a horn coming out of his forehead.

DiFabio brings up a great point, one I was thinking about in the theater.

Real people with 100 x worse physical disfigurements walk around with positive attitudes AND they didn't even gain super healing powers.

DP was whining so much about his look but at least he got something in return, immortality.

Shouldn't his healing powers cure his face anyways?

This movie is falling apart fast.

Give me my Winter Batman now!

I thought the film was going to be more gory and violent since they went with an "R" rating. This film looked rated "G"/"PG" compared to the graphic violence in Rambo 4. I also think the nudity wasn't necessary since they didn't do anything with it either. The bad language is where the "R" rating comes into effect, bu to be honest, this film should have been "PG-13" instead and it would have made a lot more money, and then release an unrated version on bluray with the bad language and blood.

I thought he looked pretty grotesque right after, while he was still laying down in that tube ( he was very.... moist looking). But yeah after that I kept thinking "They were so in love in the beginning and he thinks she wont love him now cause of a couple extra wrinkles???"

Yup, I was expecting Rambo 4 level carnage.

But to be honest, nothing will ever have Rambo 4 carnage. :lol

It really was PG13ish.

and pg 13 probably would have given the right crowd of people the ability to see the movie. I could imagine if I was younger, no matter how bad the movie is, It would have stuck with me as a kid. Id imagine Pride and prejudice and zombies got away with a similar amount of carnage with a pg13 rating. Oh well its hard to complain with the amount of beheadings and limbs flying around that there was

No, I believe his healing factor and disease are connected, so his condition was accelerated by the experiment, so his healing factor is constantly fighting the advance disease, which causes his disfigurement. It also affects his brain cells which explains why he's actually crazy, but the film ignores that, because he was fine mentally...not crazy at all, he was still the same guy he was before.

Yeah, I was very surprised, because they don't even show some of the kills, like when he's going to shoot a woman....but they didn't show it. They were burning babies and killing children in Rambo 4...and that's just the beginning :lol

I didn't mind the GL joke, but having seen it already in the trailer, it kind of fell flat when I saw it in the movie. The XMO joke with the action figure was kind of like "eh." It really wasn't even a joke, it was more like "LOOK! It's a Barakapool action figure! Because, remember? That was Deadpool in that last movie that was terrible! Funny, right? Right?"

Just a few fourth wall breaking jokes but that's it. Origins definitely doesn't exist in this continuity.

I like the film, but they played it safe, considering the character can break the fourth wall, so the film could have been less traditional. The opening credits were a step in the right direction, but all those flashbacks to tell the origin were a bit distracting. I do like when the movie hits fast forward. The sequel should try to be a bit more creative, but it was fine, and if the sequel really has
Cable and time traveling
that should be fun and interesting.

Took the older kids to see it this evening.....I continued to enjoy it after a second screening. I'll admit the kids were taken back by the violence, f bombs, nudity etc. as that's not what they've grown accustomed to from Marvel, DC and SW. Formula working to perfection.....

Older kids close to or over 18 but in this evenings showing saw many kids 8 - 10 yrs old range which surprised me. I guess I'm more a protective type a parent. My kids at that age wouldn't be watching this film :lol
