the most bizarrely frustrating thing is people saying "that's his character! he's not actually funny he's annoying" or I didn't think it was funny because I just don't get the "deadpool humor". Nahhh, its a movie. There is no way in hell they purposely made this movie unfunny. Just like in the comics there are great deadpool stories and I'm sure there are god awful deadpool stories. This movie had the opportunity be a great movie or a god awful movie, regardless of its source material. Like I said before di** jokes and poop jokes can certainly be funny if done right, it just didn't work out this time. There were so many pop culture references, this thing will definitely wear and tear over time, and probably at an alarming rate. Even so it was an entertaining action flick movie (its always a nice break when it is not a fluffy marvel studios movie). Its just hard to hear people defend the humor so much, I feel like I'm in another dimension or something.

movie section is always :lol. who cares what others think of a film regardless of post count.......everyone interprets stimuli differently so we all will have a different opinions. go find your own....:lol

I’ve read plenty of Deadpool comics where he’s just rambling on and annoying other characters. He sort of like Spiderman in that sense where he’s uses humor to frustrate people, not all of that has to be funny. If everything Deadpool said was comedic gold then other characters probably wouldn’t mind him talking so much :lol

The guy doesn’t shut up, and he’s supposed to be annoying at times.

THANK GOD

someone who's one of us that didn't like it, I haven't seen it yet but my expectations were super low but the recent buzz started to get me excited because everyone seems to be loving this. This brings my hopes down as I'm not sure if I'll like this, I'm really hoping this movie surprises me and I end up loving it.

BUT you didn't like Star Wars TFA and that's the only star wars movie I really enjoy so yea lol

khev has convinced me that TFA is good. :lol

Just keep in mind though, JYE didn't like Doof Warrior from Fury Road. I'm not saying that invalidates all of his opinions, but. . .it kinda does.

:lol :lol

the only time it's ok for a character to be annoying is if there's a payoff in store. For example, if Deadpool is being annoying for the sake of it and not to be funny, and Collosus owns him and teaches him to shut up and Deadpool reacts to that, that would be funny. that to me is the only time that annoying works in movies.

yes of course! the only opinion that matters is your own, I was just interested in seeing if people felt the same way. After seeing all the booming reviews I was a little surprised by what was being presented on screen. Also reflecting on it now, I wouldn't be surprised if some non-comic nerds thought this was a character made up by Reynolds and Reynolds was playing Reynolds who becomes a sarcastic supehero ( that's how bad they seemed to be presenting this ). I'm sure they called him by his name, Wade, enough though right?

I liked the film. Its not groundbreaking in any way, but it was funny and the action was pretty good. The entire cast was really good, and as expected, Reynolds was perfect in that role. The villain in this film is probably better than most of the Disney/Marvel villains...he had charisma and from a physical stand point, his the total opposite of Deadpool in that he's a pretty boy, which makes him a perfect villain for Wade Wilson. I even enjoyed the serious moments and I would say it's better than all of the Wolverine films and X3. I hope there's a sequel.

This is pretty much how I feel.

I defintiley think that I might drop the score to a 7 later on but both times I saw it I had great crowds at my theater.

My biggest issue with the movie is that they don’t put much emphasis on why he breaks the wall and such. He was pretty much the same guy before he got his powers, and there wasn’t really much of an evolution to his character throughout the movie. It would have been nice if the torture he went through turned him into a manic that broke the fourth wall and such, or at least if the director had emphasized on that.

Or..... You and jye just have an awful sense of humor. ;) ;)

J/k I also didn't think it was comic gold... But I didn't hate it as much as you either :)

Off the top of my head... Jokes that worked.

Baby hand scene was my fav cause it was kind of made me sick. Probably the only time I laughed out loud.
Reference to prof X and which one were they going to.
Villain got name from dish soap.
Deathstroke original action figure.
Some of the over the top violence.
The smack talk to the teen x girl about saying mean things or silent treatment.
Middle finger moment
You don;t want to see this (camera pushed away)

I am sure there are others.

Only jokes I found really annoying were his Bartender friends.

Like I said the humor was OK IMO... Not laugh out loud funny. Sometimes that is better as laugh out loud tends to be shock humor and that wears off with repeat viewings.

^ yes , I did think a couple of those were funny. The baby hand, I didn't want to mention it because it was one of those moments that is so funny because it takes you by surprise. And I said the action was good, I probably should have added that the physical/violent comedy was spot on (every time someone went splat I found to be pretty funny). I think you mean deadpool original action figure? unless I missed something. Overall I don't think the movie was horrible, but I can only imagine how great it would have been if they hit it out of the park. ( the more I reflect I actually really like the ****** quality of the cgi and small scale)

Yeah, isn't Deadpool crazy and he hears voices in his head...and talks to himself a lot? That was not in the film for some reason.

A few things I liked. Will have to see it again this weekend when I'm not half asleep.

"What did you expect? Sam Jackson to show up with an eye patch"

"Tell Beast to stop ******** on my lawn"

"This house is huge, it's like the studio couldn't afford any other X-Men"

The Green Lantern card in the intro.

Wolverine Origins "Deadpool" action figure

Stan's best cameo yet (Wish Deadpool pointed him out) Liefeld's quick cameo was cool.

Colossus looked kind of weak. I thought Angel Dust only had her powers for a short burst? Am I the only one who thought Colossus saying "language" to Deadpool was a joke off of Cap from AOU?

Just got back from seeing DP at the I-MAX. Enjoyed the crap out of it. There were about a 100 people at the 2:00PM showing , big applauses at the end. My only disappointment was that we didn't get to see Gina Carano's bare boob. We came so close.
