Oh ya, he's perfect. He already has experience in the "punching people in the face" department...
Badassery personified...
Screw that guy. He definately has a punchable face. Stephen Lang FTMFW.
Nah, there's no way they'll make Cable black, as they've already filled their "black quota". See, that's Hollywood's strategy. They won't make flicks about the actual black characters, but they're more than willing to change the ethnicities of white characters to prove how progressive they are. They'll never give the greenlight to another Spawn flick, or to John Stewart as the main Lantern, or whatever, but they'll happily take a favourite B-Lister who was white and turn him black to say "look, we're progressive". Bunch of hypocrites...
Anyway, as for black Cable, I'd go with Djimon Hounsou. The guy's a beast.
There's a big difference between a black character in a title role or a side role.
And i'd definitely prefer to see Domino as a black woman rather than any of the existing Black female characters from the X-Universe. I can honestly only think of Storm and Shard (who is definitely C/D list)
I love the hate for a black Domino. Love it.
A new Spawn film is supposedly on the way. But then again that's been the case since 1998.

I like Spawns design, but I'm not a fan of all the satanic stuff.
That's a big turn off and one of the reasons Spawn isn't more mainstream.
What are you, a *****? Uh? You can't handle some mainstream cape**** "occultism"? Pfft, I bet you've never even read a Hellblazer book, or Moore's From Hell. Basic Batman ****boi...
Kidding aside, eh, it's pretty tame. It plays fast and loose with religion and compared to other comics that deal with the occult, it's rather straightforward. I've not read the complete series, but the early stories were 90s, but... in a good way. After Spawn became God it dragged on, and then Al killed himself or something, only for a white guy to get the costume. Todd then turned it into a wannabe "scaaaary book", but it had more in common with that Arnie vs Satan flick. Al got back last year, but the book's just dragging on so that Todd can get bragging rights for having the longest running indie book.
Hickman's Black Monday Murders is very creepy and unsettling though. I've only read snippets 'cause I wanna get the singles first, but it's very much 4chan's conspiracy theories just... gorier and with actual structure.
PS: As someone who's not into horror at all, I quite like these books. Best I've done so far is starting Twin Peaks on the movie/tv department though...
I read a few of the early books back in the early/mid 90's.
I had the action figure because he looked cool.
I even saw the live action film.
Never saw the HBO show though.
The only thing Spawn related I want at this point, is a good action figure...with basic or good articulation.
Unfortunately, Todd M is stuck in the early 2000's making statues.
There is only one decent Spawn figure and that's the 10th anniversary version, but it's kind of expensive now.
What a waste...

What?
He took over both sides
The thing with Todd is that his fans are such loyal consumers, that every FB post of his is filled with "**** yeah man, we're grown ups, we don't need no articulation, we want statues". So basically they ain't got the cash or space to graduate to the big leagues, but they think that 6" figs with 5 POA are considered "statues".
