Re: Deadpool Sequel - TBD

Well, thanks to NECA I have no need for McFarlane, but I wish he would at least let other companies make Spawn figures. A Japanese import or a Mezco One 12 would be great.

He had a deal with 3A but... we never got any figs. There's that overpriced Mezco 12" fig, if you can spot it on ebay. As for me, I've given up on 12"/Statues for a while now. I've also pretty much dropped minimates as well, and I'm only getting my comics now. I debated getting into the Mezco 1:12 line, but eh, they're way too overpriced for what they are. I may go for an "All-Stars" model though. Figs and statues based on a couple of characters only.

Re: Deadpool Sequel - TBD

3A would nail Spawn figures. I would love a Sam and Twitch 2pack in portable scale.

Ugh, Sam & Twitch... I'd rather get cool variants like Godslayer Spawn. I'd also love a good, clean reboot from someone other than Todd, but...

Were they bad? I honestly don't remember, I just remember it was a comfy comic when I was a kid, and I remember it to be slightly less edgy than Spawn and its variants.

But also used to like the old predator and alien comics and upon rereading them recently I found out they are utter trash :lol even the "best" ones.

Dunno, I don't remember jack. But from what I read when I was pulling Spawn in 2014 or so, they were just caricatures at this point. If someone othr than Todd were to make figures, I'd rather get Spawn variants.

Re: Deadpool Sequel - TBD

I remember I used to like their designs a lot, if I were to get a mcFarlane figure at this point it would be their 2pack, even if they're just statues, but even if I got it new the plastic is probably rotting at this point.

They always looked too much like meth addicts for my tastes. I prefer the cool monster designs of the main book and the AU minis. They were 90s edge in all their glory, but... I love me some 90s edge once in a while.

Re: Deadpool Sequel - TBD

A new Spawn film is supposedly on the way. But then again that's been the case since 1998.

Hes always talked about the movie for 20 years now
But he finally did finish the script last year. So the script is officially ready to go.

Yeah, Todd's "Hard-R flick about Sam & Twitch where Spawn is barely seen". God, this dude just doesn't shut up... Spawn should've ended after he defeated God & Satan and essentially became Capital G God. The HBO series was brilliant though, so there's that at least.

Icon is a character that I never really read about, but I always thought he looked cool and had a neat little origin. I certainly wouldn't mind a solo movie or a tv series. It'd be better than SuperObama anyway.

I really hate Todd now. Spawn became such a joke. A parody of itself.

Re: Deadpool Sequel - TBD

I want this as a movie with a sequel so badly... :monkey2

Yeah, it was a straightforward 90s OGN, but it was damn good in its simplicity. Swap Wolverine for Moon Knight, add Blade, and it could happen in the Netflix shows. Considering IF is gonna tank, Marvel could opt for more realistic characters without too much mysticism and more "horror". Plus, none of them requite huge budgets besides GR, and even ABC managed to do him.

Re: Deadpool Sequel - TBD

That would be so damn perfect! Cable was this gritty, no-nonsense machine of violence. With no sense of humor whatsoever. And Shannon can sure as hell do that! Now that this is in my mind, I'm not sure I could come up with anything better. And the juxtaposition with Reynolds Deadpool could be soooo good.

If they dont cast him it would be extremely disappointing

I kinda wish that news didnt get leaked because now i just want him

Shannon's definitely one of my recent faves. He can be funny, terrifying, gritty, everything, really. Plus, he's got the look.

Same :lol I actually wasn't all that interested in this movie at all until getting this news. Now, I want to see it tomorrow.

Re: Deadpool Sequel - TBD

I love Michael Shannon, but as Cable? **** NOOOOO! :lol

He's great, but he's also very skinny and weird looking.

Then, there's his high , nasal, whining voice with that lisp sound :lol

He looks a lot like Cable though. And I'm sure he can bulk up a bit. Besides, armor and pouches can do wonder. He can be both funny and scary though, which is the most important part. I prefer him to the "PUNCH PEOPLE IN THE FACE-IN THE FACE-FACE" guy.
