Look at that concept art and tell me she doesn't look a lot like Misty Knight's new ANAD costume, just without sleeves:

Regardless, the only other known comic book character that has a 'fro, uses guns, is an african-american female and can change between quippy and serious, is Misty Knight. It's not so much that they look the same, but rather that the concept art is closer to her than Domino.

Domino's recipe is very simple, and her colours are her S, Arc Reactor, Mjolnir, whatever. Change that, and you lose the character. In a movie where they can translate Deadpool's costume, I'd expect more than 2000s Singer-Verse leather. If you're not gonna make her look like the books, at least give her a white spot, the catsuit and straight hair.

I can deal with the "reversed" colour scheme, but an afro & a small as **** spot that's more "chocolate milk" in its colour than chalk-white I can't. At this point, you might as well make her a race-bend Outlaw or something. I mean, look at the Cable Art and, then look at the Domino Art.

She's a female Longshot (who was one of my favorites as a kid)--someone who has probability altering powers that makes them lucky.

The typical martial artist and weapons expert.

In addition, she has the power to control luck, so if you try to kill her or hurt her, somehow you'll end up hurt.

Which means they'll probably not even gonna give her this particular power, 'cause it's wacky AF. If the MCU, which has introduced magic and aliens won't give Wanda her Probabillity Hexes, the FoxVerse ain't going to, at least not now.

Granted, we don't know if it's real yet, but it fits with reports of Pitt being considered. Plus, it's pretty much a given she won't have the pale skin. I thought they'd at least give her the straight hair, but... Considering how wacky her power also is, I guess we're just gonna get Misty Knight with a different name...

I laugh at everyone that thought she was going to get painted the moment the girl was cast I Knew they were going to do this crap

I dont think they can, the fact that the concept art has an afro should tell you everything about what they are going for in the design.

Pulsar/Captain Marvel had one, but she also had Jheri curls. . .and wouldn't be available for Fox.

Let's be honest here, though. This is a c-list, Rob Liefeld creation. One step above Gideon. I don't think 99% of the audience, including comic fans in the audience, will care.

big movies make characters big and mainstream. so this will only confuse everybody. everyone is going to wonder why the comic is different.

look at starlord, no one knew who that was. look at ant man. they are like household names now.

domino is a character with a unique and pretty design and a character that is instantly recognizable. I've always loved domino's look and this is destroying that look for no good reason. I mean, They tried so hard to get deadpool's costume right.... they made so much fun of green lantern, wtf is their problem? this concept art is EXACTLY what deadpool was making fun of in the first movie for God's sake
feels like a studio driven concept art.

Not a lot of people knew who harley quinn was 10 years ago. no one really cared outside batman fans. look at how big she is now.

Meh. People just can't wait to freak out. Look at how bent crowseph is getting over possibly-real early concept art.

No offense, crows. Obviously people who really like a character will have a reaction. But most people will just join the herd.

I don't think you can compare her to Harley, though. Harley originated in the animated series, which was very widely popular and her face was on coffee mugs and t-shirts in the long-defunct WB stores. Not Lena Dunham levels of adoration and unanimous praise, but lots of normies knew who she was going back to the 90s.

Brad pitt is the single greatest choice for cable, he has the exact attitude, look and stamina to play cable. Any other choice will be a mistake.
Brad pitt is the only actor in hollywood that can do this character any justice. He was born to play cable
