Re: Deadpool Sequel - TBD

I figured out who the villain is, it's so obvious.

It's the white man.

Re: Deadpool Sequel - TBD

Aw ****, I LOVE the White Man! He was a great one-off villain! Somebody should bring him back and add him to dunno, Spider-Man or Daredevil's Rogues Gallery. Like, now. Do it now!

Re: Deadpool Sequel - TBD

So Pitt's out and now Russell Crowe is officially part of the short list.

I'm digging the Crowe idea.

Re: Deadpool Sequel - TBD

Crowe is too old to play the role. Just because Cable has white hair doesn't mean he's in his 70s.

Crowe isn't 70. He's 53.

And Liefeld has said that Cable is in his late 50s/early 60s.

Re: Deadpool Sequel - TBD

Ranking the rumored candidates

1. Stephen Lang (64)
2. Kyle Chandler (51)
3. David Harbour (42)
4. Russell Crowe (53)
5. Michael Shannon (43)
6. Brad Pitt (53)
7. Pierce Brosnan (63) *confident he's playing Black Tom Cassidy

Re: Deadpool Sequel - TBD

My implication was that Crowe looks like he's in his 70s and in terrible shape to boot. I personally cant see him playing the character.

Josh Brolin to Play Cable in 'Deadpool 2' (Exclusive)

Here comes the Cable guy.
Josh Brolin has nabbed the hotly contested role of Cable opposite Ryan Reynolds in Deadpool 2, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

The production has been on the warpath to find the right actor for the role for months, with Michael Shannon almost nabbing the role and Stranger Things star David Harbour on the shortlist. (There were even rumors of conversations with Russell Crowe and Brad Pitt.)

In the end, Brolin emerged as a surprise contender, notching his second Marvel Comics character in the process; the actor plays the villain Thanos in the Marvel Studios movies. Sources say Brolin's deal is for four movies.

David Leitch is directing the sequel to Fox's surprise blockbuster, with the Twentieth Century Fox movie heading towards a June production start in Vancouver.

Reynolds is reprising his role as the wisecracking mercenary, with the story expanding to include other characters from Deadpool's corner of Marvel’s X-Men universe.

I'm a little surprised by this, 20th Century Fox and Marvel Studios don't play well together and usually actors have clauses that lock them up from going off and playing other superheroes for other companies. Maybe because they're both Marvel and they're finally looking to work together? It'd be hard to imagine that Brolin isn't locked up but his deal is for 4 films.

Re: Deadpool Sequel - TBD

He was close to being Batman as well.
