I don't see Chris Evans in this. This is definitely a step back. Especially since Hot Toys has been hitting the recent head sculpts out of the park with the 2.0's and Artisans. They've set their standards much higher now, this isn't it. The older Steve Rogers sculpts look more like Evans. Why can't they do like the Stealth Suit 2.0?

I think it’s the beard that might be throwing off the likeness. It reminds me of when the prototype was shown for series Kenobi where the likeness was off as well.

It also looks like $305 is the new $280. It’s their 3rd figure in a row with that pricing.

Gotta agree with the consensus. This is the worst proto sculpt I've seen from HT since that dreadful first attempt at Supergirl... That got enough grief to make them revise it, so perhaps this one will, too.

I do feel that they are working on giving more dynamic accessories and display pieces to go along with the figures than a lot of the older figures didn't have.

I'm over here thinking this looks pretty great but apparently it's the worse Evans sculpt to date. I would've thought that honor went to either the IW figure or the original GA Cap

Same here, thought it looked pretty good initially until I saw the comments in this thread getting ripped to shreds.

just shows how far this hobby has come in the past decade plus where the standards and level of expectations are set so high now (which I’m glad about)

It’s a bit a disingenuous to say the sculpt looks nothing like Chris Evans but i do agree it could use work after reading other collector’s opinions.
