How could Marvel be dumb enough to sign a contract FOREVER for the rights to Spider-man and Hulk to Universal? The reasons you make contracts is so you can raise or lower the price at certain times depending on the profitablity of a product.

When those deals were signed Marvel was bankrupt...Uni had all the cards.

Disney Will Reexamine Marvel Video Game Deals As They Expire:

I wonder if we can expect a Kingdom Heartsesque game in the future. The SquareEnix people did it without much of a hassle and KH was a kick ass game.....not to mention I wouldn't mind big hitters like SE getting their hands on Marvel product.

I think technically is has to get moved to disney section.:rotfl:rotfl:rotfl

Yup, Disney/Marvel. Make it so! :lol

Well it sounds like they are doing alot to reassure Marvel fans. But how about some reassurance for us Disney freaks. I'm more concerned about that aspect than Marvel. I do not want Marvel characters running around Disney. With the possible exception of a Marvel area at DHS.

Disney doesn't have to do that. Pixar doesn't really count because they were a partnership since the beginning but look at Disney's other aquisitions. They own the Power Rangers and you don't see them around other than at DHS. They own the Muppets and before 2010's big promo you saw them localized at DHS. Even my beloved Oswald the Lucky Rabbit which ironically was purchased back from Universal has been slow in implementation. We are really talking long term here in terms of theme parks with it looking to be focused in DHS with just merchandise being available at the bigger store similar to the way it is now.

that would be an awesome if its possible, final fantasy characters with marvel and disney :drool just thinking about that

Mike, you're the cool head of reason in this thread. Its funny because I never really thought I'd be the chicken little type, but my goodness I'm pretty sure the sky has the potential to fall right now. :lol

Meh I think it should be good for Marvel. As long as the comic books stay the same and don't get interrupted it should be fine. Marvel needs help with its movie studios.

If this means PIXAR will be doing Spider-Man 4, I'm fine ;P

PIXAR doing digital animated 3D marvel movies would be awesome.

As Marvel shareholder, I'm all in favor of this - stock soared 10% today!

And Pixar/Marvel movies should be interesting - apparently John Lasseter was excited about the idea.

I don't think it will hurt Marvel creatively at all. But seeing Snow White, Spider-man and Kermit all hanging out at the parks together will be a bit weird.

Or they can rewrite Toy Story 3 and when Andy leaves for college he doesn't want his old toys because now he can play with Hot Toys Iron Men.Buzz VS Iron Man

It's gonna be weird having our Hulk and Thanos discussions in the Disneyana forum.

Live action leave it to marvel studios but marvel studios/pixar CGI marvel movies would rock on there own :rock

I can't wait for my Coca-cola Disney Marvel Happy Meal toys sold at the McDonalds in the Wal Mart. My friend here Mr. Horseman of the Apocalypse will have the Big Mac meal--super-sized--with a Diet.
