You know I get where he’s coming from there’s nothing wrong with demanding quality movies are not inexpensive anymore.
It’s his life he’s allowed to draw the line on the sand anywhere he wants but his line is way too paralyzing for me.
Fans who have obviously embraced the imperfect MCU are not brain dead like Snikt says they’re just more accepting of the imperfections while celebrating the strengths of the movies.
You and crows have expertly explained why this deal isn’t the death of Spiderman, XM, F4 and DP.
It just isn’t.
The positives of having these characters together in a PG-13 universe far outweighs any perceived notion that a hard R movie will automatically translate into auteur levels of artistic impression.
I’ve always said from day one that the strengths of the MCU are as much auteur as anything from Logan.
Cap has been handled just as good as Wolverine was in Logan.
The action in TWS is just as good as the action in Logan.
I don’t even like Deadpool lol.

Agreed! Yea it is fine to want quality but don’t be an *** about it and it’s so obvious that the studios that had these characters didn’t do them a justice. Now marvel isn’t perfect by any means but they love these characters and treat them with the upmost respect. They’d treat xmen better than any other property they have now. Spider-Man is being treated amazing except for some flaws here and there .
No one is gonna run back to a movie with open arms after countless screw ups and reboots. It’s tiresome. The mcu has a set plan. Love it or hate it. They know what they want. I just wish WB would do the same
