the movie was a little boring. the matrix stuff (which i was exited for) didnt do much for me. Inception is a more captivating movie.

the plot is the most cookie cutter plot i have ever seen. all marvel movies follow the hero's journey and their origin story but this was pushing it. the development of characters is very thin and everyone is in a rush to get where they need to get for the action scenes. very rushed, might be the most rushed origin marvel movie ive seen.

the villain was also as thin as a sheet of paper. he literally has one emotion... his motivation was interesting but he felt like a robot. he was more robotic than ultron....

i dont hate the movie and i liked parts of it but it wasnt the breakthrough the trailers were making it out to be. this ain't no matrix... it is just a regular super hero movie with a few trinkets here and there.
Imagine marvel movies are all Christmas trees decorated differently
and this movie just happens to have Extra decorations more than the others. Imagine it has double the decorations of another regular tree...
but it is still just a tree underneath. that's what it felt like to me, the weird reality bending scenes were like decorations in a tree that looked really nice but you still only have a tree in front of you.

If anything the inception style visuals were a little distracting because they happened in a way that they didn't feel amazing.
I wish they had gradually showed us their magic powers but the movie starts with the reality bending powers right away and they show it so casually that it loses any amazement it could have had later on.

Then when they keep bending reality and make the buildings go crazy, again it is done so casually that you lose the admiration for the visuals. by the end they dont mean anything.

While I didn't hate the movie I would agree with crows review, it's pretty spot on.

I'd put it maybe top 4 out of the origin movies, but I can't put it ahead of Avengers or civil war.

I didnt hate it and now that i was able to digest it better there are things i loved but i wish they developed the characters better

You mean digest as in coming to terms with it because you didn't like it? Or As in understanding because it was trippy? Because all the trippy stuff was all pre-chewed and pre-digested for you to not think about it at all, MCU-style :lol

Her death and the astral fight scene were great. Really really great

I did not hate this film... I liked the first hour. But this was just not my kind of movie. The scenes were they were running through the inception city made me giggle... They just ran so much and looked silly in their ancient clothing... I don't know... It just came off as goofy. Foot chase scenes can be great. But not In a giant Blue screen effect.

This one was better then say IM2, IM3, and AOU.... As a movie it was better but I would much rather watch the other three. Much of that has to do with the character himself. I am not a big Strange fan and I like the characters in the other films. I would also say that the other films have a action scene of two that hold my interest.. This film did not. But the first hour was very good.

The more I digest it the more it bothers me.

Skipping the blu-ray, like I did Ant-Man & CW's.

That is what i was talking about, the inception stuff was done so casually and so quickly and so big that it even looked fake.

It almost felt like who framed roger rabbit at some points lol.

I think marvel messed up on the effects in regard to the actors.

I liked this movie. Only thing that fell flat for me was some of Strange's jokes as BC delived them... Just weren't that funny.
