wait until you see Bonnie Langford. If she doesn't topple Tennant in that area I will be amazed (and slightly scared for you).

There was some discussion earlier about Collin. imo, his stories aren't that good and he comes off as far too abrasive. But I just watched "Vengeance on Varos" and I must say it was FANTASTIC! Any of you guys looking for a good Collin story should check it out. It's on Netflix DVD and streaming. :rock

I'll have to check that out along with the stories I've added to my rental list at Lovefilm.

Whilst I'm not likely to enjoy Colin's stories as much as Doctors 2-4 I can say with a reasonable degree of certainty that he won't be replacing 10 as my worst Doctor ever as I'm convinced nobody could make the character as punchable as Tennant has.

Not for much longer though, 3 more episodes and then he's history :rock:rock:rock

Makes sense though.... Even real aliens (ie if an American were to move to Britain) lose bits of their original ethnicity as they are exposed to the local culture. Makes sense to me anyway, that the Doctor after spending most of his very loooooong life would begin to seem more human as time goes by.

I agree that it makes sense but like everything else that emanates from Tennant's mouth when playing the Doctor the "humanisms" always sound very forced and fake which I think is largely down to the English accent he affects.

Had he been allowed to use his normal speaking voice then maybe I wouldn't have found him so unbearable.

Oh, the one I was scheduled to moderate at Dragon*Con last year? I just showed up and said, "I know nothing about Dr. Who, but I hear it's pretty cool. No idea why they put me in charge of this panel so I'll just moderate and make sure you people behave while I enjoy my lunch." :lol

I still wanna see this show, though. Those clock dudes are just so creepy looking. I love stuff like that. And I have many friends who are into it who tell me all the time that'd I'd dig it.

Strange how it was remarkably similar to the one he used in the RTD produced Casanova.

A coincidence?

Insomuch as DT probably has a limited range of English accents, yes. I enjoy Sylvester McCoy in the role but most people probably expect the Doctor to have an English accent and DT has said many times it was his choice to use one.

Casting CE proves accents were not a concern to RTD or anyone else at the top, in my opinion. Combine this with comments by DT and there's no need for conspiracy theories.

Maybe it says something for DT's true acting ability then if the best English accent he can muster is one that sounds so annoying.

Say what you like about the old school "BBC Pronounced English" or whatever it was called but the Doctors that used that type of accent at least carried some authority when they spoke whereas 10 sounds like a yob.

I heard from some dude on Twitter :)rolleyes:) that the name of Tennants last two specials are: Nightmares Reign and The End of Time.
