On the subject of Pertwee I recently read "Who & Me" by the late Barry Letts who produced the show during his run.
A great read if you're a fan of his era as there's some good stories about Jon and some nice insights about his approach to the producers job and a few suprising comparisons with today's show. It seems RTD wasn't the first to suggest a 45 minute, one off story format.
