I believe it was Jekyll in the UK as well. At least that is what Wikipedia has brought me to believe.

It was Jekyll in the UK as well.

I must admit all the changes in casting are beginning to annoy me, surely RTD and the team learnt from what happened with Eccleston and Piper that it was a good idea to sign companions and Doctors up to multiple seasons in the show.

Yes part of the series charm is the changes of it's cast but it's happening too quickly at the moment, we've yet to have more than one series with the same Doctor and Companion and I'd hoped once Martha was introduced things would calm down and they'd stick with her and Tennant for at least a few years.

At the minute the changes have all worked well, Tennant was a very capable replacement for Eccleston and Freema was also well recieved after replacing Billie, but there's a danger fans will get fed up of the constant revolving door of casting.

I'm starting to.

Oh and according to the official Doctor Who magazine Martha will appear in 5 episodes of series four next year.

"Jekyll" was excellent , proof that Steven Moffat has got what it takes to handle The Doctors adventures if RTD bows out . Don't get me wrong , I enjoyed season 3 , but it rarely attained the heights of , say , "The Satan Pit" or "Girl In The Fireplace" . Moffat's episodes were by far , the best of the bunch in the 3rd season . And it must be said , the anti-climactic and downright crap season climax was surely a sign that the present production team ( for the most part) has run out of ideas.

if the stories are good, it won't matter who is in the cast

I'm not sure that's entirely true, if your main characters aren't convincing and you don't like or care about them it can ruin a good story.

You have to invest in the characters as well as the situation, that's what made Martha and Rose so great in the series.

They both had very rich, yet suitably different backstories, which made them interesting to watch as they played off the Doctor.

Soo Human Nature was on Sci Fi tonight and sadly.. I hate it on Sci Fi. The commercial breaks kill the momentum that the episodes always build up to. Ah well.. Is it Christmas yet?

Heard on the radio today that David Bowie is going to be in a 2 parter, wonder what kind of starnge being hes going to be.

And you can now own a Laser screwdriver, who'd have sonic.

So far I've heard of ALOT of different guest stars.. who knows what ones are real. Apparently they are throwing around The Rani again.. and Julie Gardner said it would be "rude" to not have the Master back. Something makes me think after Russel leaves she may stay on for a bit and find a way to bring John Simm back as the Master as he had a blast doing it apparently. Imagine that, John Simm wanting to REPRISE a role.

I heard the radio say he was to play an evil alien abductor

Over at Outpost Gallifrey they said that the BBC has come out and debunked the Bowie story, as well as his agent. Theres another one down, for now.

Interesting. I wonder how this all fits in with the rumors of a multi-Doctor story. Oh, and anyone else see that IMDb.com and G4's the Feed has picked up the Bowie on Who story? :lol

A Five Doctors style episode would be amazing. Maybe the 3 or 4 previous docs should be in it, always a shame we did not get to see more of the 8th doctor but the idea he went off to fight in the time war is a great way of expalining why the doctor disappeared.

I believe so far the only one they are talking to for the episode/episodes/special is Sylvester McCoy. Id like to see more but I think its just that they have him "bump" into his previous incarnation.

the year break is so Tennant can play hamlet in theatre

I guess they decided to wait on him rather than cast another doctor

and thank god for that. I think that goes to show that Tennant is committed to the role and the BBC is committed to Tennant staying as the Doctor. That means we will get at LEAST two more years of number 10. Beyond 2010 though, more of ten is just icing on the cake.
