I suppose I could wait a few days. I just like having a copy on my computer that I can watch. At least it's not a complete episode. THEN i'd go crazy.

Nice catch about the ring. She got over that crush pretty quick. Then again, time travel and everything...

I really hope we see a lot of Martha this season, I really don't think I can stomach much of Donna. This photo goes a long way in illustrating just what we are losing in season four. *sigh* I'll try to keep an open mind though.

btw, were the Sontarans always that short?

SPOILER WARNING

The rumours are that Martha will be engaged to the "other" Doctor she was working with during Last Of The Timelords. Just a rumour but it makes sense and apparently she's going to be back for five episodes this year (hardly seems enough sniff)

I've not seen much of classic Who but from what I'm given to understand the updated Sontarans are fairly close to the classic design, I think they updated the armour a little, but other than that they look just like the originals.

I hate, I repeat, HATE Catherine Tate. Really the worst idea in the history of the world to make her in the fourth season. So Martha was the one who picked up the ring at the end of last season? Interesting....if I interpreted what you said correctly.

He's not talking about the Master's ring. I mean.. the woman who picked up his ring was white with red finger nails. The one shes with is the guy she called once time was restored back to normal.

Oh okay, got a little confused, it's pretty early over here. That makes sense. Still hate Catherine Tate though.

Yeah I just meant she was engaged.

Catherine Tate is something I'm trying really hard to keep an open mind about to be honest. I remember everyone hating on Billie Piper when she was first cast to be a companion (a popstar can't act!) and look how that turned out?

So I'm hoping that RTD will make some changes to Donna's personality and make her more likeable than we're expecting. Some of the stuff I've heard about her challenging him more and not being a romanticised character who swoons over him like Rose and Martha were to an extent sounds interesting.

I've got some nagging doubts though.

Why, oh why, can't Jack just be the new companion? :monkey2

Don't give that Torchwood line either. Torchwood is great, I love it, but I would love Jack as a companion more.

I hope Torchwood lasts at least two more seasons because we're really gonna need it in 2009 when the parent shows only on for three specials all year, but I get what you're saying Kabukiman.

I would also like to see Jack return to the series, though I doubt it's gonna happen any time soon. Last Of The Timelords really seemed to resolve everything between Jack and the Doctor and I think they're on different paths from here.

As for a new female companion, I would've prefered them to bring back Sally Sparrow from Blink to replace Martha.

Guess Im the only one that really can't wait to see Catherine Tate take over? I just see such potential for the character and such growth.

Cap'n Jack is a great character and I would also love to see him back. Dont' tlike Torchwood as much as Who, so I would enjoy that very much.

:drool:drool:drool:drool I love sally sparrow. Hard to believe it's the same person from Pride & Prejudice.

I consider myself cautiously optimistic:D

Yea, during the christmas special, I actually wanted to grab her through my TV and punch her. Plus, I wanted the spiders to eat her. I really, really hope that RTD and co. rework the character to make her less annoying. This is a pretty dumb question, but is catherine tate returning to WHO or is her character returning. Meaning, is her character from the christmas special returning, or just her playing another character?

No Donna Noble (the character from the xmas special) is returning, though RTD has promised she will be a very different Donna to the one we met in The Runaway Bride. I think they're gonna tweak her personality alot.

She's still playing Donna from Runaway Bride.

Considering how her life changed at the end of Runaway Bride, I think it's safe to say her personality will be a bit different for season four.

Reminder all: Season 3 DVD set hits the states tomorrow!!! :fest:fireworks

Best Buy will have it for $65.

Here's another vote for Sally Sparrow! I loved that episode, the actress and the character.
