Hopefully, we'll get our fix on Friday with Children in Need. It all depends on how quick the BBC is with taking down YouTube videos.

Let them take their time. Slow and steady wins the race. Hear that BBC, give us at least 48 hours of bliss.

or Romana :monkey3 Start the Time Lord race anew. I just wish it was spring already so I can get my fix. I don't even have Torchwood. Jabba or anyone in the UK, are there any whispers on an air date for Torchwood yet?

Early in the new year is all we've been told so far, I'm tipping probably the second or third week in January.

There's a new Torchwood magazine being published by Titan Magazines next month so they might have more of an idea of an airdate.

I'll let you know

Thanks, after the first series, never thought Id be anxious for the second. :lol Man, it really is like being a junkie.

Tell me about it:lol

I'm not looking forward to 2009 one bit, don't know if I can manage to go cold turkey on Doctor Who all year long:monkey5

I've been reading a few of the BBC books novels recently, they're not as good as the show but they're mildly entertaining and really good if you fancy an easy read. I've read about ten different novels the best of which are Feast Of The Drowned, Sting Of The Zygons and Winner Takes all. Check them out if you're feeling the need.

Eh I may but after all this insane reading for my semester I may be taking some time off of books. :lol And come on now, 2009 won't be cold turkey. The 3 specials will be Bank Holiday specials, although that doesn't help us in States know exactly when they'd be airing or how they would even air them over here on Sci Fi.

Good job you've a mate in the UK to tell you when they'll be airing then isn't it?:D

Yeah I know we'll still get the specials but it won't be the same as a whole series, still it's much better than nothing.

How do you end up getting to see the episodes so quickly though Menmoch, I remember when series three was on you had seen the episodes the next day or sometimes just a few hours after they'd aired over here.

Something on the net I presume.

Yes yes, something on the net is correct :lol Im just super impatient and hate the fact that the episodes are edited for time and have commercials in them over here. Also, it's not like BBC Worldwide doesn't get the money out of me eventually anyway. I have all three series on DVD and LOVE it. Too bad there isn't a true HD version out yet.

Don't worry, I do exactly the same with episodes of The Batman. Over here in the UK, the BBC only bought seasons one and two for one of their kids channels nothing else. So I tend to keep an eye out with when they air in the states and catch up through You Tube.

I don't buy the DVD's though, because there's only season one been released over here, still never mind:lol

Ah who can blame ya for liking Miss Miles. And since we brought back the Doctor Who thread:

ROSE IS BACK! ROSE IS BACK! ROSE IS BACK! :chew ROSE IS BACK! ROSE IS BACK! ROSE IS BACK! :chew ROSE IS BACK! ROSE IS BACK! ROSE IS BACK! :chew

Now I hope they fiddled with her contract so that CO can make a new figure of her. Damn likeness rights!

The Who Confidentials on the US DVD's, from my understanding, are cut versions. The UK gets the full show. PBS has been airing Who Confidential shorts with season one, but we've already seen all that on DVD.

I'm not sure whether the full versions of Confidential are available on the UK box sets because I've never bought one. What usually happens is that when a new episode premieres we get the episode then you can change channels for a 45 min episode of confidential. Then when they show reruns of that episode you usually get the cut down confidential for ten minutes at the end to make up the running time to an hour.

It’s rather an odd thing to do before you’ve seen the end product. Just wait and see the new series and keep an open mind. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

That's really hard for me to do when thinking about Catherine Tate; I just don't like anything she has ever done. I suppose I can give her a try
