Finished it earlier and I liked it. Was there a change in theme music? because I don't like the new theme. I thought the epsidoe was pretty good; didn't like the big bad at the end though. Kylie wasn't as annoying as I thought she was going to be.

It was funny; kylie asks to go with the doctor and he says yes, then the old guy at the end asks the same thing, and the doctor says "I travel alone" :monkey2, so apparently you have to be young and attractive to travel with the doctor :chew:chew

I watched it when I couldnt sleep once I was home and liked it. Personally Im digging the new theme. Reminds me of the classic theme a little more. I would have loved to see Clive Swift be a companion but I don't see him being in the epic structure of new Who. Overall the best Christmas ep ever and loved the references to past the past 3 series.

Just thought I'd update this thread a bit.

UK fans will be pleased to hear (if you don't know already) that the series is returning on Saturday the fifth of April.

I'm not sure whether this advertisement has gone stateside or not either, but there's a pretty cool advert previewing series four airing in cinemas at the moment. I've got a You Tube link to it here but the quality's not very good since it was shot in the cinema, enjoy!

Doctor Who Series 4

Yay! New Doctor Who starts in less than a week...

It looks to be a good one too...

Anyone else as excited as me?

We get the Torchwood finale the night before too...Fantastic!

Re: Doctor Who Series 4

Can't wait for the 4th season.
Also the Sarah Jane Adventures will be premiering on the Sci-Fi network on April 11th. Not sure how good that one will be, it seems very kiddie orientated.

Well it IS a kid's program...like Torchwood is meant for adults...

With all their lesbians and such...

That would explain it, never seen a shot from the series until the show's trailer last night on Sci-Fi. It's on Fridays so it'll get recorded, not sure if I'll skip through it though.

But it seems that the Doctor Who crew think that Whi is a kid's show too. So if Sarah Jane is as mature as Who, I'll be fine with it.

Who is considered family, SJA is more for kids and then Torchwood is "adult". I have to say Im really excited to see what S4 has in store because I havent really heard any spoilers. One thing Im upset about though is that we are only getting VOTD when it premiers on Sci-Fi and not Partners in Crime the same night. That puts us almost a full month behind the UK.

This is a spoiler thread so here are the spoilers:

Rose returns
Martha returns
Mickey Returns
The Master returns
Davros making his new series debut
and someone becomes the victim of a botched regeneration.

Did I miss any? :monkey3

Judoon returns.
Jack Returns.
Harriot Jones returns.

Harriet Jones returns as a Dalek. :lol

I hadn't heard about the Judoon coming back. That is awesome! :rock

Well rumors are that this is the "end of a cycle" so we are getting a big finish, with who knows what happening in the end, then the Christmas special, the 3 specials and then back to a full series. I really can't wait to see how everything unfolds and am really looking forward to "Silence in the Library/River's Run".
