First time that Angel showed it's screaming face I jumped a little, even my g/f got a lil freaked out when she watched it the first time. Her exact words were "Those things are ******* creepy!" :lol

Yep, would have to go with Blink or ImpossiblePlanet/SatanPit as my favs for the new series...

The Impossible Planet/Satan Pit is in fact my favorite Nu-Who story so far.
It's a 2-parter that's not set on Earth, has excellent non CGI creatures and has some decent supporting characters. If Nu-Who was always that good I would like it so much more.
The one other major beef I have with Nu-Who is the overuse of the Sonic Screwdriver which is now more like a magic wand as it seems to solve every possible fix the Doctor finds himself in. What happened to the Doctor using his considerable intellect to get him out of trouble?

Partners In Crime will go down in the annals of DW history as the episode which featured the MOST OVERUSE of the sonic screwdriver. :pow

Good episode i thought, was cool to see those Ood and how they work Brain in the head, hand and one huge one underground thats a different take on aliens.

When the owner turned in Ood, that was gross. The top of the head coming apart and when the hive brain got spat out made me shudder.

Next week will be cool, Unit, Martha Jones and Sontarins, bring it on.

Just finished watching it. Pretty gOOD episode, but I wonder what the Ood meant when he said that he thought that the Doctors song would be ending soon?

Here are the theories:

Ten was introduced with Song for Ten. His song ending could mean we are coming up on a regeneration (which seems not to be the case) orr *highlight to read spoilers* The Doctor is removed from time at some point during the series, presumed to be the episode titled "Turn Left" previously "Hurricane"

A great episode all round,a non Earth based setting, great creatures and no irritating supporting characters. I loved the shots of the rabid Ood and the transformation of Captain Darling from Blackadder into an Ood was very well done too. Next week is back on Earth but it'll be worth it to see Martha again, not to mention UNIT and the Sontarans.

Anyone think the return of Rose is this season's recurring theme?

Like Bad Wolf, Torchwood and Mr Saxon? We've had references to her in all episodes so far...

wow.

Saw my very first episode today and it was the last episode and my initial reaction was this show is pretty damn good.

How many episodes are there ?

Typically 13 episode per series (or seasons in the US). Right now we are 3 episodes into series 4.

Counting the Classic series which ran from 1963-89 Planet Of The Ood was episode number 741. The revived series (2005-onwards) has had 3 series of 13 episodes plus a Christmas special each year and we are 3 episodes into the 4th series.

741 episodes, that is so insane. Wonder how any of them the BBC has destoyed during the seventies.

Reading in the radio times today that the ood will make another appreance and that they might be related another alien speacies seen when who was black and white.

Wikipedia has all the answers you seek. It lists all the serials still surviving and what episodes are missing.

My thoughts on this episode: Fantastic. Im really sad Donna will be here for only one series, the revelation about the Ood biology and finally a temporal position for this and TiP/TSP really helps. Maybe Series 5 will show us the 1st or 3rd Great and Bountiful Human Empires? I also don't think Rose returning is the big thing for this series as I don't think it is just one big thing. I think it is going to be a series of things, things being lost, lost things returning, choices made and not made, etc. UNIT next week (and in my world it is STILL United Nation Intelligence Taskforce and not Unified Intelligence Taskforce) along with Martha, Sontarans and the first time in the new series a past assistant and current assistant meet!
