I love the BF audios but their treatment of Susan is one of the only things I don't like. She refers to herself as a Timelord, rather than a Gallifreyan. It just really bugged me when I heard that.

What is a Timelord? isn't it someone who attends the academy, who has looked into the Untempered Schism.

Nothing says Susan didn't do the second part and all evidence clearly shows she did the former.

I would say a Timelord is someone who has graduated from the Academy. I think gazing into the Untempered Schism is a type of baptism select Gallifreyan children undergo prior to entering the Academy. It's never stated outright, but it is certainly inferred. Also Romana was only recently graduated from the Academy and she was clearly older than Susan.

My take on it is all is that One and Susan fled Gallifrey while she was still at academy. She never finished her courses, never graduated, never was awarded with a regenerative cycle, and hence not a time lord.

Thats Sci-fi all over, its how the viewer/reader interprits it. Some people think Susan's a Timelord others don't, Some people think the Curator is the Doctor others think he's just an old man who's been told to give a message to the Doctor by a future Doctor.

Well, she did die saving earth from the Daleks. So... perhaps a story where the doctor saves her last second? He does say over and over again.. that ONE DAY he will save her... when he's ready ( I took it as he didn't think he was skilled enough to pull it off)

I agree. I really hope that, at least, we'll get one more series or a one-off movie for Torchwood to wrap that up,too.

Just FYI, the Day of the Doctor did astoundingly well in one day at the US box office! I wish I could have seen it, but the closest theater was hours away:

Well some guy came on GB a few days ago and in a very long prosey post listed item for item everything that is happening in the Christmas special as well as revealing who/what the Big Bad for series 8 will be.

I love speculation. But I wish I hadn't known about the McGannisode or anything about the 50th/Xmas special.
