my problem is that you can't make a single post without going into your standard negative tirade. Every single time.

I guess it just grinds on me that's all. Make a post and say what you didn't like about something, fine. But to come out with stuff like ...

"It's no small coincidence that the letters "RTD" are part of the word "retard" and could also stand for "Ruined The Doctor" as IMO he's taken the franchise to something approaching rock bottom.
Last year he reduced The Master to a totally unconvincing comedy villain and this year Davros ends up a blatant clone of Palpatine circa ROTJ with a bit of Terry Molloy's crappy 80's portrayal of the character mixed in for good measure whilst David Tennant continues to work towards the title of "most boring Doctor" with consumate ease."

...in almost every post you make. It just becomes tiring. Say what you don't like about an episode, but we all know exactly how you feel about Tennant and RTD... you don't need to bash us about the heads with it every time you open your mouth.

...that's my problem

I admit I go over the top sometimes but it's just due to my frustration with one of the few things on TV that I'm intrested in watching going in such a downhill direction after the first 2 series were for the most part great.
I have praised one or two things such as Bernard Cribbins performances throughout the series and Christopher Ryan's awesome turn as General Staal in the Sontaran story but this last 2 series the good moments have been far outweighed by the mediocre or plain bad and just as you tire of my remarks,I get similarly tired of reading all the RTD worshipping that goes on because I can't see how his style of storytelling provokes the emotions that people have described.
I would like to apologise for the remark I made in the opening of my previous post as I don't want to cause any bad feeling and I'll try and keep my rants to a minimum in future.

For me, the new series 2 remains my favourite, with Doomsday topping my episodes...

Black Dalek? Cyber-leader? All out Dalek and Cybermen war?

The only thing I would change would be to show more fighting...

I agree about series 2,all the 2-part stories were fantastic and a couple of the one offs were OK too.
Aside from a new Doctor the biggest change I would like to see would be a return to the Classic series format of mostly 4-part serials and no more throwaway one off or Doctor-lite stories.
I also think Captain Jack needs to have his immortality removed in a storyline because he's fast turning into the Doctor Who equivalent of Kenny from South Park, his constant "deaths" are almost as overused as the "sonic screwdriver fixes everything" angle.

Technically Capn Jack isn't immortal. He dies when he is about 5 billion years old. :lecture

Details! details! :)
But my point still stands.
To make the Doctor and his allies seem like they are genuinely in danger there needs to be an element of vulnerability to the characters and the "Oh my God! They killed Jack!" moments don't exactly help things.

A bit of news about the 2nd series of The Sarah Jane Adventures and it will see the return of a character from the Classic era of Doctor Who in the form of The Brigadier,

And from the pics it also looks like Sarah Jane and co will come up against the Sontarans!
The other good thing about this is that The Brigadier isn't as likely to be killed off on a kids show as he would if he had appeared in the parent series.

Yea, saw that a few days ago. Should be fun. By the by, there should be a Sarah Jane thread somewhere.. but not much talk happened there. Let me see if I cant find it and send it back to the top.

Journey's End was the first time Doctor Who ever grabbed the #1 spot (including classic who) so you can bet the beeb will do whatever it can to keep things running smooth and that prolly includes keeping Tennant on for a bit longer and honestly I doubt he minds. He loves playing the Doctor and in many polls he is topping Tom Baker as people's favorite Doctor (did anyone ever think that was possible?!!?)

TB is still my fave though :rock

Wasn't that impressed with Journey's End myself. RTD seemed to follow the same pattern as he did with last year's Master Trilogy. A great lead up episode, a fantastic part one, that then fell flat in the finale. I've not been as impressed with most of the episodes in series four as I was the other three series and I now think the show could probably use a little rest.

Hopefully by the time series five turns up under Moffat's regime, the show should be alot stronger again.

David’s real-life love Georgia Moffett, 23, returns as his daughter Jenny for one of the Who specials.
(why didn't she regenerate when she came back to life....)

:drool:drool:drool:drool:drool:drool:drool

I have NO problem with that. And did you see on the side of the page that it said that Amy Winehouse might be on WHO. WTF is up with that? Maybe she'll play a crackhead who just does so much dope, that her head literally just explodes (I'm hoping for that in real life too)

The most watched episode of Doctor Who is still part 4 of 1979's City Of Death which got 16.1 million viewers which beats the highest viewing figures for a Nu-Who episode by about 3 million.
And I pay no attention to polls especially if they are in tabloids as the people who vote in them likely won't have seen anything but Nu-Who and in all probability lack the intelligence to make up their own minds and instead believe anything the papers say is flavor of the month.
I really, really, really hope Tennant doesn't stay past the specials as that will signify the end of any remaining intrest I have in the revived series.
Surely the BBC can find someone with actual charisma to replace him?
And Jenny is in one of the specials?
I hope she gets killed off for good this time.
