Haha as much as people loathe him, the infamous "Eddie" was actually pretty spot on with his 12 Days of Christmas rhyme which is what is making me lean toward Pertwee. Whoever it is, we will know by 1 PM Eastern tomorrow... but do we REALLY want to know?

Can you expand on that? i didn't understand that rhyme at all... and what is eddie saying about Pertwee?

but do we REALLY want to know?

Despite my current stance on Nu-Who I am still intrested in seeing who will replace Tennant and I'm convinced Doctor number 11 will be a step up no matter who it is.

Whether the new producer will be however is another question entirely.
And on that note can any of the Moffatt worshippers out there tell me what is so clever about his writing?

Steve Martin once said explaing why you like something is like dancing to architecture.

I can't explain why I like Steve Moffit. I think his stories are funny and have a lot of heart (the relationship between the girl and the empty child, Elton naivete, Sally Sparrow, and Riversong giving up her life and the Girl in the Library and Doctor Moon). They typically are full of some of the most memorable dialogue and one liners too.

For me I just like him. :dunno

And what is the correct spelling of Moffat/Moffitt/Moffatt ? :lol

I do think that "The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances" has some genuinely creepy bits in it and the Doctor's line "Just this once everybody lives!" at the end was Eccleston at his best.

I thought Mickey's ridiculously exaggerated sneaking about in "The Girl in the Fireplace" was amusing but the story itself didn't really do anything for me largely because there were quite a few bits where Tennant had to be serious and in Doctor Who at least he never sounds very convincing unless he's doing the manic routine.

I know who the 11th Doctor is...but I'm not telling...

You know where to go to find out...

I know...I never heard of him either...

Who the F is Matt Smith?

look for :-

Party Animals, Ruby in the Smoke and Shadow in the North wherever you go to watch TV on your PC's.

I'm very pleased with their choice but very shocked they've casted so young.

I can't comment on the guy's acting ability but on Confidential he looked to be about 16 years old ( he's actually 26 ) so my question is how will someone who looks so young successfully convey any authority or come across as the voice of experience without looking like the sort of know all teenager that in real life would either get laughed at or punched?

good choice IMO & wasn't Davidson cast when he was 28?

This guy can act & in his brief interview showed enough to warrant the role

Since David Tennants Doctor is supposedly going to be aged considerably for the final specials it may make the contrast an interesting one when he regenerates into a young guy.

Unless he gets superaged again prior to regenerating I don't think it'll make much difference as Smith already looks considerably younger than Tennant.

Fro what i saw of him in the Sally Lockhart series, i thought the guy was kinda weird which might be cool to see. Did not seem like the guy who gets as excited as tennent and he was very laid back.

Well, we may see the return of the DoctorDobby...

I wouldn't be at all suprised if that happened as the way the BBC are thinking my ideal
regeneration scenario ( Tennant being hit by a bus driven by the infamous Kandyman ) doesn't seem so ludicrous as it would first appear lol!

well from watching him in the interviews, and watching the clips they showed of him on Confidential.... I'm happy to say I'm very happy with the choice. At first when i heard 26 i was "oohhh...... really??! *cringe*" .....then realised that he's only a couple of years younger than Davidson was when he was cast.... and when I saw him immediately both me and Jane said "ooh... he'll be great!"

something about him when he was talking.... we could picture him being the doctor character... and he looked much older than the 26 I was picturing.

So all in all... I'm happy! :d
