Well, was speaking purely in terms of my collection as it stands now, and as Tay has streamlined his.

I just mean that I prefer having a few select perfect pieces, as opposed to masses of good HT figures.

I loved having a huge collection but honestly for me I simply couldn't afford to carry on wanting everything. I scaled my top 12 favorite movies down or tried to and have kept the figures from them , with a few exceptions since the figures were of such good quality I just had to keep them.
In this mindset now I can't think of many figures that will appeal to me and it finally feels great to say that and still look at my collection happy. :lol

I hear ya bro! I fear I may be facing that situation one day. But not yet. These figures are more addicting then any drug known to man! :lol

Whilst I wish I could do what Snake and Hicks have done I just love everything I go for, sure I have had to sell a few things but that has always been to fund other figures that I would prefer! :gah: I would love to streamline but I just can't :(

I hear you bud, I think I've got my collection (almost) as streamlined as I can abide. Any sale at this point would come with some serious regret :slap I do pass on a lot of HT releases and customs that I have an itch to get in on though. I suppose I "justify" my collecting by being more selective nowadays...no more "Marcus Wright" purchases for me!

Yeah my collection has been streamlined slightly but again most of it was with real regret, I could have easily have kept them all :lol

Anyway bring on the Dude :yess:

My choices for next would be:

Alex DeLarge
Patrick Bateman
Doc Holliday from Tombstone
Gene Wilder Willy Wonka

Raoul Duke would be nice too.

Sorry to hear that bud, but as you said, it was for another piece you preferred more. As long as your appreciation for what you've gained from the sacrifice outweighs the regret, it was a good move! :)

Those are all top picks :rock Of all the figures that have been suggested for Rainman's next project though, I think only Bateman and Algren (arg, maybe Wonka) would get me to bite...so naturally I hope it's neither :lol I need time to recoupe :thud:

I kind of want Bateman more than Alex in some ways. Can just picture rainmans craftsmanship on him.

But ideally I need both. :D

Algren all the way for me also

I would like the non obvious attire though

I use to do the same but closing in on 30 custom figures, I have to agree, some characters are just boring.

Never thought I'd want an Ace Ventura, but with his outfit, that haircut, and riding those gators, he stands out more then anything else in my collection and I love him.

Since it's impractical in the extreme to collect representations of every great character from every great film ever made, I personally think it best to collect only those that are visually exciting, unique and iconic. I've seen collections with various "guys in suits" and I just find it boring looking.
