Looks like you've been charged £11 Duty ? If so don't pay it, contact Fedex and ask them to remove it as it shouldn't be on there.

Here's how it breaks down, my first import so I'm not sure how it works. I shouldn't need to pay the 11?

My duty is €15,37 but i still think you´ll need to pay it.

I've never paid duty and had it removed last time, neither have other member's on the Statueforum. Just contact Fedex and question whether it should be on there.

i hate that. Im extremely picky these days when it comes to ordering from abroad. If the guy wont low value gift mark it i wont buy. I never buy from online stores, ebay only. so you can actually talk to the seller. Ive spent so much in customs and VAT i could of bought about 6 ht figures or a hand full of statues

Will do mate! Hey have u posted pics of your Dutch here? Or maybe u posted em at statue forum?
Splendid! Yeah, brother. I posted some substandard pics a while back. Here's the replay...
I dig this bad mofo. I think the paints could have been better, but they aren't as bad I thought they'd be. The clothing is top notch and the overall feel of the piece satisfies. I am a happy collector. :)

Here's a few shots. I have yet to set up a decent photo area in my new place, so these ain't the best shots I've ever done, but here they are all the same...

slowly trying to increase the strength of the camo***e paint without going overboard...pics dont it justice due to the poor light...but its coming on nicely...the pic of arnie on the art box shows how i'd like to have the face paint. Pus the Cigar has olso been customised too

I was watching a film last night and kept glancing over to Dutch, in low light he looks amazing I just think up close and personal the detailing lets it down. If only the arms and shoulders had a better finish and a bit more care was taken with the paint application.

Sounds like your paint might be a little sub. I can't find a thing wrong on mine apart from some slight grazing on one of the chins.

Did you at least contact SS? They prob would flick you a voucher at least.

Diffidently an improvement on the cig. I'd display this portrait instead of what looks like a turd that's in his mouth on all the factory painted ones.

Cheers Bro...the original cig was okay I guess but saw the opportunity to add an extra element which could make it more realistic. In fact it really is so easy to do...I'm not just saying that. If you have some paints and a very thin brush then it's a case of adding a small warm red dot in the centre of the cig and then adding the most tiniest dab of yellow in the centre....you can then add shades of grey (ash) around the red application to help blend it in...

What type of paint do you use? Is it a case of just building up washes for the face paint?

I'm using old citadel paints (from games workshop) for the cigar application. As for the face paints your not going to believe this but I like to improvise quite a lot and I used my wife's eye liner pencil and rubbed some onto my finger and then very carefully went with the line on arnies face to make it darker. The fact I'm using my finger rather than a paintbrush makes it look more authentic I think. I still need to go darker but this will come with more layers of application. I infact used this method to recreate battle damage on my Iron Man and WarMachine Maquette which you can see in my display thread on show our shelves :yess:
