Check Bats into an eating disorder clinic, he's much too thin. Thanks g_t, your making my decision to pass on this much too easy:D

ebor, believe me bro, i'm a bit biased because of how obvious a Batman collector i am, but it is just different seeing this guy for real. totally different. it might just be my flash, my camera or my lack of photography skills or something but he doesn't look at all "thin." he's just right.. here's more pics..

but then again, i can't make your decisions. just sad to hear on how you'll be passing up on him.

This is good news. Does anyone know if Hot Toys will replace the body if you don't have a receipt? I have one but no receipt. I bought it off of PapitoMX, but he hasn't answered me about sending me a receipt.

Well, just as I predicted, or should I say hoped, HT Fixed the problem for the DC release. I knew there was no way HT would release their HUUUUGE DC Shipment without having this fixed. No way. Not to DC. Not with their Rep on the line. Not this big of a shipment. The new "hard plate" was the solution after they couldn't resolve the rubber plate problems. I feel really awful for all you guys stuck with the depends abs, but I recommend pressing HT to replace your body. They really have an ethical obligation to do so for everyone. Is the new hard plastic plate better? Prolly not to the touch. I always loved the feel of the V1 TDK rubber abs -- hard plastic, esthetically, doesn't float my boat but it looks fine and doesn't really affect the articulation as it "sits" between the hip joints. But I wonder about any leaning down, squatting, kneeling and head back posing.

Anyway. Mine's coming next month and I'm glad I waited. And I'm Glad they found a solution because they absolutely had to. :blackbat

Yeah the entire front from the bottom edge carbon pieces up to the for ab plates all the way up including his 2-3pair of ribs. I didn't check under the chest

congratulations to everyone getting theirs soon :D

I can see why Maul said what he did last night considering these are the same responses you get on Facebook.

Being calm is a virtue. No reason that should be a bad thing. That said, I would push for another replacement if I still had leaky abs, regardless of what Hot Toys new policies are.

While everything gets brushed under the carpet.

Sometimes when you reply to stuff I don't know what your referring to.

And it often seems like you are picking only one part of a comment that you don't like. Did you read my whole post?

Whoa, Maglor! I just noticed the Lost numbers in your sig. Awesome!

Anyway, yeah, I'm really really excited to hear that the DCD shipment is being fixed. However, I feel awful for everyone who had purchased the previous runs with some only receiving the "questionably improved" replacement. Part of that comes from the fact that I almost was one of those owners, as I was planning on purchasing on ebay before I knew of the oil issue. I feel very fortunate that I found these forums and gained the knowledge I did.

Personally, I'm baffled by HT's actions, and even others companies that have done similar things in the past. It's shocking to me that a company can attempt to shrug off so many unhappy customers. Don't they realize the potential ramifications? It's sad that they seem to forget they themselves wouldn't want to get screwed over if they were stuck in a similar situation as a customer.

The non-DCD owners being left in the dust is just wrong. I think all of us, people who share the same passion for this awesome looking figure, should work together to make sure HT knows of our dislike for the handling of the situation and strongly urge them to take care of each and every customer properly. But I don't think lashing out will do any good. We need to politely, cordially, and professionally make our concerns and requests known to them.

The only problem I have is, I don't know exactly the best way to go about doing this. Would an online petition carry any weight? Would a form letter printed out and signed by people and sent by mail have a better effect? If some of those avenues are tried and fail, would going to DC directly be of any use? I've personally never done anything like this before, so if anyone has feedback or suggestions, that'd be great. I definitely think starting some dialogue on this topic would be of great benefit.

Thanks for reading, sorry for the long post!
