Vodoun are those yours? Does yours have the leaking problem? Replacements?

Yeah they are mine but no those are not replacements. That photo is from Feb 15. I got these a few weeks or so later after MaulFan got his from Toys2. It took 2 days before it started showing up.

OK here are the comparisson. The headless one is the replacement and you can;t really tell by looking at it that the material has changed and that is great is it still looks like a whole suit but the material is hard as rock and I will prematurely say that I believe the problem in the abs area is solved. :D The bicept area will likely looze eventually but we will have to see.

Actually I jsut realized now that the entire abs /chest part is one stiff piece now! Now that I have seen it I think I remember someone mentioning it here. It is no longer some flexible rubber but rather a hard plastic! I could not tell from jsut looking at it as the paint job is done extremely well. Guys I think HT did listen and this is from the latest batch!!!!! It is still rubber on the sides and back and bicept but I can't imagine this material oozing anymore!

It's stiffer than your bone...... :D
I was worried at first about the sacrifices in articulation but when compared to the flexible bat the rubber is already stiff enough not to naturally flex so there is really no sacrifice cOmpared to that model. I am glad my replacement got delayed this long to result in this new design. The pictures can't really show what I am seeing but trust me I ain't pulling your leg. This stiff stuff better not be oozing and I assume them changing the material is to achieve that. Again just glad I did not get it replaced before this switchover

Hello Everyone!I'm new to this site so PLEASE forgive me if i say or do something stupid.I also have just received my new replacement body from Hot Toys today(4/24) and right from the start you notice that something different about it.It doesn't have that shine to it unlike the original DX body. The material feels more like the original TDK body but except that this body is rigid like the previous body.I have PICS but i don't know how to upload them but even so with the PICS you really can't notice the difference unless you see it for yourself. Now,we'll give it some time cause as before with some people they received new bodies and a couple of days later and it's EXXON VALDEZ all over again.I'll keep you all posted!

thanks Ceeem0r. try photobucket or some other photo sites.

i was away for 3 days and to my surprise, when i came back (of course 1st thing i checked was my DX batman), he was oil free, absolutely oil free. niiiice.

Angry though since Suns lost! :banghead

Oh,i forgot to include this bit of info, that my replacement body does not have a plastic sheet between the true-type and the suit.I guess that was a temporary solution for them but it's gone.Just thought i let everyone know this bit of info as well.ANyway, this site rules!I only wish that i had found this site sooner,oh well, life goes on.

CeeemOr, let me send your way a hearty WELCOME!!! :duff

You come bearing terrific news. Great that now we have 2 people who have had replacement bodies that appear to be "fixed."

Doesn't anyone else think this is a big deal?!?!

Not until people have had their figure in a room with all kinds of heat and cold for a month or two and it's still dry.

Right. I've heard that 7,983 times.

Point is there is something different about the most recent figures. This appears to be fact.

Hot Toys wouldn't have made this change arbitrarily. There must be a reason they did it. Makes sense to me that they made the change in materials to fix the leakage problem. That seems like a big deal to me. People have been saying that Hot Toys isn't doing anything for the problem... that seems wrong now.

What am I missing? :dunno

But isn't it worth discussing the fact that the rubber is different. As in 'not the same rubber'?

As in 'the rubber they used before leaked, and now it's made from different rubber.'

Seems pretty noteworthy to me.

I agree that we need to wait and see how this new rubber turns out, I just think it's pretty cool that HT has done something tangible to at least try to fix the problem.

Believe me I really am trying to contain my excitement...

So did they peel off the ab pieces and glue on plastic ones? or is this a new suit completly?

I'm not saying not to discuss it but don't start going mental as if it's set in stone "it's fixed people it's fixed everyone order it's fixed we're all saved!! zomg it's fixed" until it's really proven.

It's the same reason how this all started to begin with, new material.

Not to mention the a$$es Hot Toys have been to other people fobbing them off with duff replacements.

I don't know why Hot Toys is trying to be secretive with all this. It's the internet you can't keep things secret it's bound to get exposed quickly.

Why would HT use this new material if it wasn't meant to be a fix?

I just think it's really cool that they are trying to fix it.

It's only taken them supposedly 5 months with two attempts thats not 100% proven?

Yeah really cool!

What 2 attempts? This must be the detail I'm missing.

Or are you counting the little piece of plastic under the shirt? Not a real fix attempt imo, just a way to jimmy rig it while trying to figure a real fix.
