yeah the only time I see HT get a bit more interactive was when they posted the rather emotional statement about how upset they were about the IM BD trashing of the Tony HS and then the official statement on the peeling and warping issue.
The real upsetting part is that in both cases ppl got very verbal and almost took over the page and when we try to do it respectfully you get ignored :( Sometimes things need to get Hulkified :(

:goodpost: So now you finally see the light! :lol

While I do understand the let down of the Iron Man portrait, of the two incidents, if anything should have gotten an FU from Hot Toys, that deserved it more than Batman. It may not have been to people's liking, but it was intact and it wasn't like a paint job where his skin was purple. Yet, that incident gets a very public and caring address and Batman did not, and I'd say most likely, because they wanted to kiss Iron Man fan butt with all the IM2 stuff coming and not wanting to lose business there, Batman is the end of TDK and we won't see new Batman for years, no need to make Batman fans immediately happy.

Like I've said before, if people start posting on FB about the updated body once the DCD shipment goes out, I can see an ugly mess from people that are getting shafted.

That was on the foreign forums though. Not the english ones.

I have always seen it :lol but was trying to have some faith in them. They did come through with the fix but not with the stepping up to it part which is a shame :(
But in a way all the behavior from ppl on FB trying to shoot down respectful posts inquiring about this issue left a bad taste in my mouth. In a way I really wish that whoever put up with the flaw without standing up on this issue, possibly even told ppl STFU that did voice their concern will NEVER get a replacement as they do not deserve to take advantage of our efforts.
That's as hulky I can get :lol

That is another possibility but I like to believe that we were just too nice :p

maybe we are the more mature collectors afterall ;)

They're working to fix the problem, that's a kudos on their parts, but there are still strikes against them for how they've conducted themselves through the last few months this problem's been out there.

There's a certain comfort level one likes to have spending this kind of money that if something goes wrong, you'll be taken care of. I used to think anything with HT could get resolved with a simple asking, but I'm not as sure now that if I had a problem with a figure in the future, it'd be smoothly resolved and I'd be on my way. I got lucky in this instance, hopefully, but if I were Eddie Wong or anyone in his situation, I'd be screwed, and that could happen to me in the future with something else.

Only if they agree to exchange the wax paper fix for a newer body.

actually maybe someone can post on his blog or somehow notify him to make sure he knows about the latest replacement so he can go after HT again. I can't see how this new policy can be upheld especially since the DX02 was released with flaw prior to this. Like I said policy or not it wont stop me from requesting replacements in the future until it is resolved and much like in this case I would give them the flexibility of holding of with the replacement until they can be sure the problem is resolved.

Well that's why I said it's only one point in their favor, they didn't just totally ignore it and keep shipping the figure regardless. However, the new policies are shady and if they don't give on the 1 replacement rule for people they sent the earlier "fixed" version to, that'd be a big strike against them.

I have a feeling that 1-replacement policy was put in place so they won't have to do that. And if so, that's ____ed up.

I agree, I find it very shady that the policy gets added right around when this new body starts going out, it stinks of "oh ____, when people hear about this new body they're going to want it replaced again".

It was and is their own doing and stupidity to replace figure without trying to understand the problem. The timing is indeed questionable. They did not dare to do this when the peeling issue was out of hand

I think that's part of the frustration for people all their actions regarding fixing it and replacing it almost come off like they're treating the customers as the ones with the problem, almost like, will nothing make you people happy, when the reality is, they screwed up production and can't admit an imperfection, but the reality is, saying we screwed up and we're trying to fix it would look much better. People aren't going to say, oh no, HT can make a mistake, better stop buying, but, if HT makes a mistake and tries to dodge admitting it, that will turn some people off.

Why does it take a month for the replacement? it doesn't take 2 weeks to go back and forth to Hong Kong.

HT just contacted me they will replace all my bad parts from my last purchase incl. the Batsuit. :blissysmi

I have send an email on Saturday evening with High Res pics, long text, gloryfiction, my PayPal bill, and more gloryfication. They have answered in less than 48 hrs! Great!
