Has your DX02 shown signs of residue buildup in the abdominal area?

You never know. If they try to be true to the actual costume, could be trouble. The main armor plates were one material glued over a body suit.

You can actually spot it on the DCD bust, the sleeves are matte where it's the body suit and glossy where it's the armor pieces.

Granted, in theory, HT should have learned from this DX and won't be repeating the mistakes again in the future, but where they're always trying out new ways of doing things, I'll feel safer just delaying receipt of the figure to wait out possible issues.

I see that, but I wonder if HT wouldn't be able to duplicate that by molding it in a single layer, or if they'd do something similar to Sideshow's armored figures with a vinyl/pleather suit under a suit.

Well i've had my replacement body for about 10 days know and not a squirt of oil.The weather has been from being real muggy to being dry and hot but not drop or a glaze of any kind. The replacement took about 3 to 4 weeks total. That includes going there and coming back. The process that took the shortest amount of time was when it was in there office,i believe that took about 3 days and it was off to the states.Anyway,i thought you all would like to know and the other person is right,Hot Toys should not get a pass for dropping the ball the way they did. It's not fair to everyone else that has the defective body or worst the replacement body that turned out to be just as bad and not know about the current replacement because they are not making anything public so basically screwing everybody thats entitled to that body.Well, that's what i think anyway.GOOD DAY!

Glad to hear it. :)

Has anyone that had the replacement that still leaked tried for a second replacement yet?

I know HT has the new 1 replacement only policy, but has anyone tried?

:clap:clap:clap Glad to see I'm not the only one that feels this way. :lol

Hard to say, it's only been about a week or so that we've known this new body exists, unless people that got the crappy replacement find out about this, they're not going to keep pursuing because they'll expect the same result.

 Who was defending HT for this cluster_____? HT screwed up and then screwed up again with how they've been handling the situation thus far. How can anyone defend that!? :cuckoo:

Two people come to mind, an apologist and a troll, but for the sake of sending MaulFan into another series of deletions, I'll refrain from naming the ":cuckoo:'s," which would only repeat this morning's colorful "discussion."

HT just contacted me they will replace all my bad parts from my last purchase incl. the Batsuit. :blissysmi

I have send an email on Saturday evening with High Res pics, long text, gloryfiction, my PayPal bill, and more gloryfication. They have answered in less than 48 hrs! Great!

This has always been the response I get from them. Even with this problem, I emailed both HTs and Eric at Toys2 and they (HT) wanted it to be handled through Eric. That happened and now I got my new fig.

Same process with my V1 Bats, Hellboy and my Oc TDK Bats. All had minor problems and HTs made good on all of it. :yess:

I hope everyone's process goes as smoothly. I'll just remind all the guys that are still needing to go through the process to make sure you take good pics, explain the problem and include your sales receipt when requesting a replacement.

Here's a hint, it's daytime over there when its night time over here. By emailing them in the wee hours of the night, I've gotten email replys by the time I go to sleep and wake back up again.:peace

Any UK'ers know how much insured and trackable shipping is with Royal Mail to Hong Kong?

I just received my replacement body and pers head. woohoo!
Anyone notice differences besides the chest plate?
I could swear the eyes have been improved. Not so round and goofy. (I guess not so many people have had the head replaced?)
Might be my imagination, but I don't think so. The rubber on the arms (underneath armor) seems softer?

It was a massive amount of hassle getting a replacement, but guys just do it. It feels nice to have a (hopefully) non faulty version of the DX02 sitting in my detolf. !

eighthsamurai, so you had no problem sending back 2 bodies in 1 go? as in Hot Toys approving that.

They were always soft. Which is strange because Maul said his new replacement was stiffer.

The front plate is stiffer, but the soft rubber underneath the arms seems even softer. As do the boots. I guess each batch will have relative changes.

i went through abc-express - leong sorted everything out for me with HT customer service. very glad he did as reaching customer services otherwise in a prompt fashion is a pain.

I don't get how that works to go through your dealer to get Hot Toys to replace it directly. Or did you send back everything? box, accessories the whole works or just two stripped down bodies in a non Hot Toys box?

Ah so you sent two bodies on their own. The through your dealer part still confuses me.

Simple, just because a dealer gets through to their CS on your behalf doesn't mean that depending on their relationship with that dealer, they wouldn't just tell them, here's the information, have your customer ship it directly to us.

yep, the 2 bodies on their own. and leong accepted the shipment and forwarded it on locally to HT. i just assumed that since abc is such a major HT dealer that they have quite good direct communication with the HT office. so in the end, i had no dealings with HT at all. in fact the replacements were also sent back to abc, and then leong forwarded them on to me.

I don't know what to do. Contact my dealer, ActionHQ.com because it's two figures or contact Hot Toys directly. From all the iffy things I've read with people and two figures directly through Hot Toys.
